I see a lot of difference recipes for this but its basically just cottage pie with tater tots instead of mashed potato. We used cream of mushroom soup as the base sauce I loved it as a kid but I think nowadays I'd do a more traditional base with a mirepoix, roux, and stock. And tons of mushrooms.I saw a lot of pictures where they put corn in it. That's fine if youd like to be we did not do that.
