It may look like shit. It may even taste like shit. But this is my first time using a bread machine, or even baking bread for that matter.

I got a free old school B&D bread machine off FB and decided to give it a try.

This is the recipe I used:

1 1/8 Cups – Water (warm) – 267 milliliters – 1 1/8 cups is equivalent to 1 cup and 2 tablespoons
2 Tablespoons – Unsalted Butter (softened) – 28 grams – If you prefer, you can substitute olive oil for the butter.
1 1/2 Cups – Rye Flour – 180 grams
1 1/2 Cups – Bread Flour – 180 grams
2 Tablespoons – Molasses – 30 milliliters
3 Tablespoons – Light Brown Sugar (packed) – 39 grams – If you prefer less sweet rye breads, cut the brown sugar in half.
1 Tablespoon – Cocoa Powder Natural Unsweetened – 5 grams
3/4 Teaspoon – Caraway Seeds – 2 grams (USED THEM)
1 1/4 Teaspoons – Salt – 7.5 grams
1 1/4 Teaspoons – Bread Machine Yeast (Instant Yeast) – 4.5 grams

I got corned beef, MTL smoked meat, swiss cheese, 100 island, sauerkraut, kosher pickles and some local babushka borscht and a 12 pack of condoms to spend the next day.

looks good. but what do you buy with the condoms?

It's actually done now! That's why the house smelled so good. I even tasted a little bit. It's dense, but not TOO dense. I'd like it a little fluffier next time. Any tips anons?

The condoms are just for a party I'm having later. Not really relevant to the post, not sure why I talked about it.

This is the top of the bread. As I said, I did taste test it, and it is great and malty especially with the molasses, and the caraway seeds are a perfect addition. Just a little bit more fluffier.

But, I have a lot to learn. This is my first bread and I know I can learn a lot from you here :)

would cram

I'll have some leftover condoms for you. Turns out a 12 pack was a bit too ambitious.

Looks dense as fuck, like my bread. Bad bread. I'm still trying to learn how to do it without fucking it up or using a stand mixer, but the stand mixer makes the initial steps much easier.

No bucks for a stand mixer atm, this was a free FB pickup. I'll keep an eye out for cheap or free. There is lots of wealthy people around me and I'm a good looking young guy with blonde hair and blue eyes so they hook me up. I got preserves and pickled shit for years thanks to these MILFs.

I did immediately wrap in bread bag to keep moisture in at least.

I just tested 'the bread' with some egg salad. Semi-thin slices, both sides buttered with amazing gras-fed salted real butter.

Sandwich was great, especially the perfectly seasoned egg salad. Bread was about 28.9 too dense though.

GODAMNIT!!!!

I'll get it one day Anons.. one day.

>op after taking bite of he sandwich and realizing bread 28.9 too dense

Might need more water since the rye flour will absorb more if it was whole grain. I'd probably go up to about 300ml of water.

28.9 is TOO DAMN HIGH!
I did mean %, but I love you all anyways and you got me.
