This morning we're starting off with some biscuits and gravy from the Travelodge lobby
>>22067746I traveled for work a few times a year and they normally put me up in a decent 4-star hotel with breakfasts that were outrageously expensive but paid by the company so I didn't care. Shortly before they laid me off, they sent me to a 3-day conference in Boise and I had to stay at a Travelodge. It was grim. I had an apple.
>>22067746>breakfasts that were outrageously expensive but paid by the companyBefore the pandemic I had to fly to a Marriott in suburban Detroit for work, and the breakfast was like almost $30 and it looked like this. Glad I wasn't the one footing the bill
>>22067746Are you really complaining about hotel breakfast? You are paying for the bed not a 5 star meal.
>>22067778Why would you interpret it as a complaint? Seems like a pretty neutral statement. Are you inclined toward unhappy thoughts or perceptions of people?
>>22067746if they dont have a kitchen i dont eat there. simple as.
>>22067782Yes
>>22067760Powdered eggs and frozen everything else. Grim
>>22067746wonder how many times that gravy has been reheated?
>>22067992Stirring resets the gravt
my hotel breakfast was always the cookie from the flight plus the tea in the room
>>22069364Comfy
I miss when Chick-fil-A had biscuits and gravy.
>>22069364how is this so comfy?
>>22067746>This morning we're starting off with some biscuits and gravy from the Travelodge lobbyMy favorite thing about cheap continental breakfasts is always the steam tray full of greasy, wet sausage links and limp, wet bacon.
>>22067746For me, it's mixing the powdered eggs, one or two small pepper egg omelletes, with potatoes, with sausage links, with crumbled biscuit, and covering it all with the mystery gravy, then adding like 3 packets of pepper over it all. If I'm feeling like I need extra calories, I add on an otis spunkmeyer muffin.Continental breakfast can be a powerful morning ritual if you know how to use the available ingredients!

>>22067760Where in the fuck do you have to PAY for hotel breakfast?
>>22071179Anywhere there isn’t a continental breakfast.
>>22071179It keeps poor people out. Have fun at the Holiday Inn Express.
>>22071179Decent hotels have actual restaurants with breakfast/lunch/dinner services. The shit you'll get will be wildly overpriced but it will be a big step up from what you're used to.
>>22071179Pretty much any overpriced hotel chain, Mariott is one of them. Once you go enough, it becomes free as part of the rewards program. Usually if there is an attached restaurant, no food is free. This will also vary based on location and local competition. Less competition usually means shittier services.
>>22071042I miss the chicken salad sandwich, but they were kind of enough to give us the sippy
