My 2cents: any iced cream with more than 15% candy in it is trash. Any sugar slime in it at all and it's trash.
>>
>>22068880
Ice cream is literally dairy sugar slime...
>>
when did you learn that most of the world has never had access to the best brand on the market? i pity they who are stuck with overpriced, soulless national brands. they dont even know what theyre missing.
>>
>>22068890
I mean the liquid 'chocolate' or caramel syrup that they put in half of the flavours.
>>
American brands ice creams are terrible

i feel like the effort and cost involved in sourcing and preparing toppings and mix-ins and flavors would make it not worth it. maybe if i just wanted vanilla all the time

The first reply, wasn't me.
I usually just make ice cream from what's available.
Once you get the hang of it, it's really not that much of a production.

It's two flavors.
Vanilla is straightforward.
For the Dr. Pepper sherbet I would probably just mix straight Dr Pepper with some cream to make the sherbet.
You could try boiling the Dr Pepper down a bit to get a more concentrated flavor.
Once both ice cream are ready.
Scoop one flavor into a food processor and run it until the scoops break up, you should get a semi-solid slush.
Do the same with the Dr Pepper sherbet.
Then, use a similar technique to pic related.
You want to work fast so that the ice cream doesn't warm up too much.
Put in the freezer until solid.

I tolerate the caramel. My fellow Americans seem to think any ice cream flavor can be improved upon with chocolate chunks or a fudge swirl, though, and it gets tiresome. I'm just glad the dubai chocolate fad didn't permanently ruin pistachio ice cream. You know someone thought of it.

LEC was on sale today so I decided to give it a try. it's actually pretty tasty. almost as good as regular peanut butter ice cream. and just as good as regular ice cream if you top it with some peanut butter and pieces of dark chocolate.

I'm posting this as a service announcement. the "topped" line of Ben & Jerry's ice cream is TAXED in some states, even while all the regular B&J flavors, and most ice cream in general, is not. this might cause you some consternation if you're a stupid poorfag neet like me.
it tastes good tho

If you're not eating Kopp's frozen custard in Wisconsin you may as well be eating pig swill.
