And from the handful of times that I dined at his place, it's mostly hearty peasant dishes. Good for him.

For the most part, the American Bourgeois diet isn't much different from the average American diet, we are a country whose presidents and billionaires are often just as inclined to a quick burger as they are caviar or a fillet mignon. Basically a long history of affordable foodstuffs and immigrant pot melting has led to a ruling class that survives largely because in how it dresses, eats and consumes it's not drastically different from your Working or Middle Class Americans.

>>22069492I’m poor but my family has wealth. Some distant relatives flex wherever they can, but direct family cooks their own meals. Going to restaurants is for food which is hard to make ourselves, otherwise there’ll be a lot of “we can do better at home, and not have to pay tax or tip” complaints. There’s also not much point in eating expensive food when cheaper stuff is enjoyable all the same.
