Just bought this after getting hyped about buying my very first rice cooker and spending some days doing my research.

Hopefully I didn't fuck up, the features look neat for my needs (single, max 90g aromatic white/brown rice, quinoa and millet).
>>
Uh, something I forgot to ask.

Can someone suggest me some good asian rice, white and brown, to make with the cooker?
I usually eat aromatic long grain rice similar to basmati/jasmine, with a touch of olive oil and salt, maybe some green onions and if I feel fancy some steamed salmon, but I never tried authentic sweet asian rice.

If you like sticky rice I recommended Nishiki rice, its really good with curry but also just plain too.

I'm taking note anon, thanks.

What kind of idiot needs a machine to cook rice for them. A fool and his money shall depart.

White rice, ok, but brown rice fuck no. I’m not babysitting a pot for 50 minutes.

Yeah I heard that premium Japanese rice short grain tends to be sweet and it’s good eaten plain as it is.

Interesting

Koshihikari rice, white or brown.
It's reasonably sweet and full of umami, mildly sticky and good to eat on its own.
Look for the Japanese ones or if you're in europe the same rice cultivated in Italy is ok too if you can't find an imported one.

Why do you feel the need to bully us lower IQ individuals? You may be a genius but you're not a nice person.

The main reason I hate rice cooking via pot like that is it takes the main burner away for a side dish. Having it be in a side cooker just wurks. Same as having a little donabe off on the little burner making the rice.

I like having my rice cooker so when I am slapping my pot of curry on the little burner, it's over on the counter steaming away. If I timed it right, both done same time.

I mean yes I can cook the rice in a pot, then plate it and nuke it when I need it, but that sucks. I'd rather batch it in the cooker, slap some one my plate for the curry, then rest go in leftover containers for later.
