What foods do people that make under $60k a year eat? What do they buy from the grocery store? $65k is the American average income.

What about those that make $60k to $100$? $100k to $150k?
$150k+?
$200k+?
$300k+?

Some brokie tried to tell me he was doing well and “living life” when his household income was $100k.

100k and I just eat what i feel like. As in, if I get the idea to cook something and part of that recipe is spending 4 dollars on something I'll only use 1/10th of and know it'll go to waste, then I don't really give a fuck. If the dish will cost me a decent bit in ingredients then I again don't really give a fuck. I don't actively try to waste food, but I wouldn't think to let the idea of spending money keep me from cooking something I love or trying something new. If I want to go out to eat somewhere then I just do that, and don't give a shit about the cost. I don't live in NYC or anything, it's pretty middle of the road in terms of cost of living so 100k lets me live very comfortably eating and cooking whatever and still put a lot of money away for retirement.
tl;dr money just isn't a factor for me when it comes to food because my tastes aren't beluga caviar every day. If that was the case then maybe I'd need to meter myself

I make $200k and still have a rotation of food banks that I hit every month. My taxes pay for this stuff, you bet your ass I'm going to be getting some back. At the very least me getting a food box means some leech doesn't get it.
Anything that's unhealthy or poor people slop I give to my neighbors or throw in the trash, but the stuff like fresh produce and pasta I eat with the salmon steaks and wine I buy from Whole Foods.

> but the stuff like fresh produce and pasta I eat with the salmon steaks and wine I buy from Whole Foods.
Whole Foods is a rip off and the most recent earnings report showed that most people that shop there should not be shopping there.
>>
>>22073044
Yes. The United States is a coffer that is constantly being robbed by everyone from all levels and from all around the world. The poor, the rich, the local and the foreigner all have their hand in there always taking something for themselves. The only people refilling this coffer are stupid middleclass whites who are "too proud" to take handouts.
I pay in taxes each year more than the median family grosses in income. I am solo supporting an entire family via taxes, yet I'm single and hated by women. So yes you better believe I am going to get mine. I am going to try and get out of the system what I put into it. Everyone else is taking from what I pay into the government, I'm going to get what I can too.

It either because I don’t look stupid or because I look poor, lmao pick one.

Trust me, according to the earnings report, most people shopping there shouldn’t be shopping there.

Poor people already steal your money, why let them steal your time too? I make half that and I couldn't imagine myself associating with the destitute. If you want to spite the poor then with the resources available to you, you could probably find some legal way to do them far more harm with that time than just taking a single serving from a food bank every once in a while.
Just seems both very inefficient and also inconvenient to you compared to just lobbying your local government to push legislation that would fuck over far more of them or something similar.

>>22073050
What you’re doing just sounds retarded since most of those places run on direct donations and they don’t go buy groceries.
You’re getting lower quality, close to expiring stuff, in a shitty environment, as you stew about the system.
You sound absolutely insufferable to be around, even as a man.
>>
>>22073083
This loser got some $200k wfh job, lucky, since he is lower class and now thinks he is better than his neighbors lolsss
>>
>>22073090
Block parties will depend on the community desu, I can see typical people in his income bracket doing that if it's a close-knit community or a church-related thing that became a larger gathering. Spitefully taking from food banks is a bit silly though, I wouldn't do that and even if you wanted to then like I said you could do more damage legally for less effort with his income if you think for even 10 minutes, but I guess he's not capable.
>>
>>22073094
Bruh, only low income neighborhoods are like that. That’s the reality in 2026. Rich areas have big yard and gates to fuck off from everyone.

If you want to “use” your taxes
> harass the cops into doing their jobs (assuming you live in a bad area)
> go to local govt meetings and hold them accountable for their shortcomings
> go to the hospital and don’t pay the bill
> start a business
> buy a house using the first time owner thing
> buy land and rezone it to agriculture, get farm subsidies
> let your lawn overgrow and then get it certified as native
> start a charity that you donate so much to you owe no taxes
> use 4chan at the library, use the library at all
> use the parks instead of being a seething cunt
> use the tax code to pay less taxes like a classy rich person
That stuff is at least cool

>>22073065
> 30%
Are you sure about that, buddy?
Because that would mean you’re making closer to 300k
>>
>>22073100
Those same rich areas are typically gated off from regular people. Maybe it's different here in the southeast US but religiously-based things become community events with the parishioners of the congregation, and there is a bigger sense of community than in more northern megacity areas. Different churches attract different communities of people, typically depending on where you live. Churches in rich neighborhoods tend to have rich parishioners and they flaunt their wealth with things like these, or birthday or holiday parties. It's all a flex in the end but these sorts of things are not limited to poor people in this region of the country. It might be different where you live.
>>
>>22073107

I spend most of my free time operating a cash only side business. That $200k is what appears on my W-2. That's how I mostly get back at the government.
Yes my effective tax rate is about 30% when you consider all the side bullshit we get taxed on like sales tax, home owner tax, liveable wages fees, etc.

I was through Portland a bit when I was vacationing in the pacific northwest a month ago, there are some nice things about it but I don't know if I'd enjoy living too close to a city of that size. Maybe in one of the outer subdivisions. Traffic was rough when we had to travel through.

Sure I don't doubt most people are liberal dweebs but the zoo and that museum-type building near it were nice, like I said I'm really just talking about how god-awful the traffic was. You sound about as fun to talk to as the 200k fag who raids food banks honestly. The most annoying thing about the city and its surrounding areas was the ban on plastic bags and them charging you for paper bags. I get the feeling that most of the biggest cities in the states are liberal shitholes on some level.

/ck/-related I made a reservation at a nice contemporary restaurant there called Arden and it was quite nice, the table service was the best of any restaurant I've been to. Did the chef 4-course meal and there were some very nice things on offer. They did a miso chocolate tart and a strawberry rhubarb/pepper tart with a biscuit crust for desert that was very pleasant, not overly sweet. This is the closest pic I could find on google to it.
