This seems unnecessarily cruel
I don't hunt buti do fish
>>
I hunt but I don't treat the animals like that. A quick dispatch and field dress. If the first shot doesn't kill I always do my best to make follow up shots as quickly as possible to end the suffering.
>>
>>22072314
why don’t hunters use a 50 cal or higher to ensure instant death?
>>
>>22072318
Local law regulations are probably the highest barrier, but a 50 cal is also cumbersome and not something you want to lug around when hunting.
>>
>>22072318
Because you don't want to fuck more meat up than you have to plus a 50 cal is a terrible choice for a brush gun I use a 30-30 levergun and I get plenty of useable meat.

Shooting boars is for newbies
>>
>>22072299
my wife does.
she uses the grocery store's app to hunt for the food, taps it with her finger sending the digital bullet right into the item and placing it directly into the cart.
then we drive to the store and the kill gets loaded into the crossover by hunting buddies.
then i fuck her for doing such a good job and we have delicious meals all week.
sometimes i miss going out and hunting myself, but other hunters being too fucking slow and in the way are just not worth the effort to hold in the absolute rage any longer.
it's nice to be able to enjoy coffee while the kill is being loaded into the crossover.
you may call me privileged, but we worked for it and you can't work for privilege.
you work for outcome.
and our outcome is clean kills, good coffee, and great sex.
you should try it sometime, but with your own wife.
touch mine and you're getting loaded in to the crossover.
>>
>all that effort for one of the worst game meats on gods green earth
If I didnt know better this process is 10% about the freshness of the meat and 90% "I dont want to pollute the forest with entrails"
>>
>>22072318
>>22072321
the ideal hunting gun should be 2 bore.
reasoning being that 2 bore > 1 boar
you don't even have to dress the animal after, the impact shatters the animal directly into the constituent parts
>>
>>22072401
that's really cool honestly
>>
I don't even understand what's happening in the video at the beginning. How is the boar locked in place? If it's possible to hunt animals like this with literally no weapons why don't we do it in America? I feel like people would be into this. Seems insanely dangerous if the boar broke free though.

I'd hunt with lasers if I could

Maybe he wants to have sex with it first.
>>
>>22072563
The OP vid is retarded. Meat shouldn't be as fresh as possible, it needs to mature a little at the very least.

Pigs are incredibly intelligent, sensitive animals. If you want good pig meat you kill them as fast as possible, with as little stress as possible. Duct taping its eyes only makes matters worse. Dragging it around and transporting it blindfolded is pants down retarded. Nerve gassing it makes no sense at all. That guy is mentally ill.

Not really
> Hyenas will eat their prey from the asshole inwards while the animal stays alive
> Tasmanian devils will do shit like that too
> Komodo dragons will bite prey and then slowly follow it as it does off sepsis
> Spiders slowly liquify the insides of bugs
> Praying mantises eat through the back or belly of most prey, they stay alive as they’re being eaten
> Cats are known to play with their food, especially “domestic” cats
Not to say this isn’t cruel, but it’s not comparable to the cruelty of the animal kingdom. It’s not much more cruel than factory farming either.

I dunno about that I just use 30-30 because it'll knock through brush and wind, the lever action provides lightning fast follow ups if needed and it has good knockdown power. I use .22lr for smaller stuff too, I've never used or known anything about modern high velocity rounds. I saw an asshole shooting pigs with a .223 and he had to use multiple shots every time.
>>
>>22072963
where?
>>
>>22073312
well it's kind of the same principle.
.22 is simply too large but basically either you get a headshot or the "wounded" animal gets away (barely even feels it and heals up in a week, like trump)
There's no 'multiple shots' like that guy you mentioned. That's straight up psychopath mode.

>>

So the pig's squeals wouldn't disturb the neighbors when he was fucking it. Japanese are polite that way.
>>
>>22072318
This is a stupid question
>>
>>22073298
Feral hogs are an invasive species and a major pest for agriculture. You can kill them any time you want, in any way that you want. The older ones are basically inedible; the young ones are ok.

Hilariously, even though feral hogs are ridiculously destructive, Texas landowners demand hundreds of dollars per day of hunting from people who want to help kill them, and the landowners have even been caught breeding and releasing hogs to keep the population up so that they can charge hunters. They're as bad as the Indian snake farmers during the British occupation.
>>
>>22072299
Stupid question time, what is that spring-wrapped thing sticking out of the boar's mouth during the first part of the video? Was it some sort of bait-on-a-hook-on-a-cable that the boar ate, and that's why it can't get away?
>>
>>22073828
>They're as bad as the Indian snake farmers during the British occupation.
Here we go

>M-m-must mention the British
>C-c-cant sleep, have to think about the Britiish
>H-h-have to talk about the British

Why are you people so obsessed?
>>
>>22073828
So what you have to do for the older boars, is you have to castrate them when they're little
It's a strategy some people who hunt wild boar for meat/sport will do, you catch them when they're young and geld them so they don't develop a shield/tough meat from the testosterone, then release them to be harvested when they're a proper size

it's very unlikely if you shoot an animal in its torso that it will heal. the overwhelming likelihood is that it will run somewhere and die of blood loss or infection. the purpose of caliber and shot placement is to quickly incapacitate an animal so you don't have to follow a blood trail for 4 miles to find your kill.

Not even then -- see, the neat thing about feral pigs is that they are mobile. Unless you're keeping your own pigs in your own pen there isn't a lot of point in catching them, cutting their balls off, releasing them, and waiting a couple of years to kill them. Unless of course you just like sexually torturing pigs in which case you do you I guess.

Maybe but there are risks with wild boar likely causing severe parasite infections if it's not handled and cooked properly. People are encouraged to hunt invasive species and sometimes get paid for doing so but large scale selling for food carries risks that not many people want to deal with probably.

I firmly believe you should get beach sand and purify it into metallurgical-grade silicon then turn it into electronic-grade silicon using a homemade high-temperature electric arc furnace and chemical processes, grow pure silicon crystals by pulling them from molten silicon with the Czochralski method, slice the crystals into thin wafers, gather dopants like boron phosphorus and arsenic to make transistors later, mine the ground and shoreline for copper gold tin lead iron aluminum and rare earth metals, smelt and refine them using charcoal forges and bellows, look for petroleum deposits or natural resins to make plastics and insulators, collect quartz crystals for oscillators and make glass for basic parts, prepare acids such as hydrochloric sulfuric and hydrofluoric for etching and cleaning, build a power source by constructing a generator using flowing water for hydropower or wind for a windmill or wood fire to make steam that turns copper coils, make batteries or capacitors using sulfuric acid and metals for steady electricity, create simple voltage regulators and transformers from wire and iron cores, set up a clean area as your workspace, make masks for circuits by drawing them carefully or using basic optics, apply photoresist chemicals to the silicon wafers, expose the wafers to UV light through the masks, etch the patterns with acids or plasma, dope the silicon and deposit thin layers in a homemade vacuum chamber, repeat these steps many times to build even simple integrated circuits and memory chips, make basic parts like resistors from carbon or wire capacitors from ceramic materials inductors by winding wire and simple diodes, create circuit boards by covering a base material with copper etching the wiring patterns with chemicals drilling holes and using homemade solder,

You have a teenagers opinion. Idiots are idiots and wouldn't get anything from doing this. Anyone intelligent enough to appreciate where the meat comes from will reach this pont on their own the first time they see a cow, chicken, other meat animal up close.

because a .308 or a 30-06 will simply pierce the animals heart/lungs and it will die within a couple of minutes, and then you can dress and harvest the animal.

50cal will turn the animal into meatballs. Maybe I don't want meatballs.

there is something about pigs that illicits a fucking vicious response in me and I don't know why. it's like the squeal or the demeanor that they do but it incites a strange form of bloodlust.

does anyone else get that?
>>
>>22073828
>The older ones are basically inedible;
Why is that? Is the meat tough?
I bet pressure cooking the shit out of it would fix it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boar_taint
>Boar taint is the offensive odor or taste that can be evident during the cooking or eating of pork or pork products derived from non-castrated male pigs once they reach puberty.
>Studies show that about 75% of consumers are sensitive to boar taint
>>
>>22085913
I just feel sad because I've seen too many videos of pigs being mistreated and knowing how intelligent they are.

They are pretty dangerous though, so it might just be triggering a fight response. It's not that hard for a pig to kill someone especially if it's a wild boar with tusks. There's a reason boars were used as a kind of spirit animal for warriors.

people also poison wild boars so there is a risk of eating an animal that has been poisoned , which would add a lot of cost to selling meat if you had to test every boar for poison.

There's also a reason boar spears are "leaf bladed" and have a bar, they will straight up run themselves through up the entire shaft, survive long enough to gore the holder on the non-pointy end to death.

Pound for pound I don't think there's a "braver or bloodlusted" animal, they're also clever as fuck it seems; I've seen that video of a guy sniping them off from a distance and the big "pack leader" male immediately twigs his location and sprints like 40km/h to fucking body him

>>
>>22072401
Why the 45° slide turning? Why not just let the cage fall down?
Multiplies fall distance by sqrt(2) and makes it take longer to hit the ground.
>>
>>22090479
not sure but it could be to make it harder for the pigs to lift. Pigs dig in the ground with their snout, it has a flap of sorts on the top. If they get the flat tip under something, they will have no trouble lifting heavy shit in the air. I used to be a truck driver taking cows and pigs for butchering. Corraling the pigs with a piece of plywood so they have only one way to go. If the plywood wasnt' securely on the floor, eventually one pig would get the snout under it and flip it the fuck off

kek I like this theory, pass it forward lizards
>>
>>22086223
Prior to transferring to the human med division of Pfizer Albert Bourla (CEO of Pfizer) worked on an mRNA multi dose "vaccine" designed to chemically castrate hogs/boars to eliminate "boar taint". So he was the natural fit to head the covid "vaccine" campaign. Haha.

This you have to be real careful harvesting, preparing and cooking wild boar. Gloves, no cuts in your skin, don't touch ANYTHING until you've washed your hands. Has to be cooked well.
