imagine the split potential... will sprinkles and an ungodly amount of whipped.i might have to go to the store rn... what cocktail goes with what I'm envisioning? please don't say rum, that makes my stomach ache.
>>22073353fucking islanders, man. they're built different .
>>22073353>what cocktail goes with what I'm envisioningRUM
>>22073353anon, those are not bananas, they are more into the platain domain, you can't eat them like a banana split, they are too hard and starchy for that, those things are usually fried or steamed or baked, but if you try to eat them raw you will feel all bloated. cut them in half and pour cheese inside, then bake them until golden brown, for me it's the best way to eat them.
>>22073386Sounds really good actually, what cheese do you go for with this?
>>22073386>pour cheese
>>22073390le fromage
>>22073386>they are more into the platain domainplantains still get soft and sweet if you allow them to ripen, they're only hard and starchy when still green but regular bananas are the same way
>>22073353
>>22073353I don't think that would fit.
>>22073414amateur.
>>22073365yeah, stubby thumbs.
>>22073455>They spelled it wrongwhere?

>>22073353if its not called a bignana i'll be very disappointed
>>22073386>platain domainSounds like a band name.
>>22073353I should call him
>>22073386Anon is correct, this is a Plantain. Carribean folks and other Islanders cut these up in slices, thick or thin. They are indeed very starchy and are closer to potatoes in a sense than the soft, sweet bananas we know.I've had Plantains before andI enjoy them fricased in a pan, salt and pepper. they are a very nice alternative to potatoes as a side with eggs and bacon or what have you.
>>22073353b-b-but how to c-cram?
>>22074212>They are indeed very starchy and are closer to potatoesPlantains are not inherently starchy like potatoes, just when eaten green and underripe. You can still let them ripen and they'll be closer to ripe bananas than potatoes. You should try sweet plantains if you never had them before, they're pretty good and I like them more than the green ones.
>>22073414>>22073423>>22074216do NOT attempt to cram!
>>22073404>plantains still get soft and sweet if you allow them to ripenPlantains are 69 cents each at my supermarket so I buy them whenever they got big ones for sale. It can take quite while for a plantain to ripen. I wait until they are yellow.I pressure steam them and sprinkle them with aspartame. They taste like raisins with the texture of a potato this way. Absolutely delicious.
>>22074226Dont tell me what to do EDIT: dont cram, fissures suck
>>22074019I searched for a “fat grandma” image to reply to your post and now regret it
