When eating at a buffet, liquid probably fills your stomach so you feel more full and can’t eat as much. But buffets intentionally make their food more salty so you eat less regardless (or get high blood pressure later).

Other buffets are cheaper, but priced above what an entree costs from another restaurant across the street. I've never understood why soda pop is considered a "soft" drink. When you drink it it is extremely spicy and burns the inside of your nasal cavity. Don't know why people drink that stuff.
