Had Europeans really never had ranch dressing?
Do they not sell it over there?
>>
>>22074075
It's the Peanut Butter of things you put on salad.
Europeans thought for years they were superior to it, but then they gave it a try.... Like New Yorkers with ranch on Pizza.
>>
>>22074075
>Do they not sell it over there
They have it in the uk at least but even there your going to have to look for it.
>>
>>22074082
So it's like HP brown sauce over here.
We know what it is, and you can find it if you look hard enough, but nobody eats it.
>>
>>22074075
I had it and it was shit. I see no purpose for it.
>>
>>22074095
>but nobody eats it
I think the difference here is that HP isnt unique in the US, we have A1 which is 95% the same formula and 3-4 other brown sauces. The closest Ive seen euros (at least here) compare ranch to is blue cheese dressing
>>
>>22074098
It's salad dressing. You put it on your salad

non-amerifats if you can't find ranch you have the option of buying it in powder form. just whisk in some buttermilk and done.

you can also blend in cherry peppers, garlic, jalapenos, sriracha, honey, buffalo sauce, pickle, avo, cumin, paprika, pepper, bleu cheese, whatever you want

it's a top-tier dipping sauce for chicken or veggies. i also like putting it in my chicken tortilla wraps.
>>
as a brit i avoid asking for it because i don't know if i should be pronouncing it that way or the other way
>>
>>22074332
>buttermilk
Buttermilk is not the same around the globe.
>>
>>22074338
you can also use milk or powdered milk but i don't think that will be as good
i'd use whole milk if necessary
>>
>>22074338
>Buttermilk is not the same around the globe.
>leftover liquid after making butter
what else do you call it? funny runny tang drink? thinnen-milken?

It's sold in multiple Euro countries, americans have just swallowed a marketing campaign as fact.
That doesn't surprise me.
>>
>>22074348
There's sweet buttermilk, sour buttermilk and cultured buttermilk.
>>
>>22074350
Vegemite is sold across the US. 99% of us still have not tried it
>>
>>22074360
What is funny is that all this came from a Swedish influencer who raved about it, even though it's sold in Sweden. You could listen to her 5 minute rave if you signed up for a 'free' account??? Does this sound as though she got some freebies to promote this?

The other thing that is strange, is the TSA thing . . . .the world cup has only just started and they were giving warnings about taking it home . . . .I don't think anybody going to the world cup only planned to spend a couple of days there.

As an advertising campaign it seems to be working, I just can't see how people don't see it for what it is?
>>
>>22074075
Have you ever had salsa romesco? I bet it's even better than ranch dressing.
>>
>>22074365
It's not solely from her. Ranch is synonymous with Americans. It's completely understandable foreigners want to try it and it is pretty good. Get over the fact that foreigners do actually enjoy American food
>>
>>22074371
>Ranch is synonymous with Americans.
It's not.
It's just another item on a supermarket shelf anywhere in Europe.
>>
>>22074367
Yes, it's delicious but absolutely nothing like ranch. They are completely different flavor profiles.
>>
>>22074108
Americans dont even know what a salad is, come on now
>>
>>22074377
Yes we do, we just ruin all the health benefits by smothering our vegetables in high calorie dressing like ranch.
>>
>>22074373
It is. It's literally the butt of most fat jokes about america. Having a bottle on your shelf doesn't mean people are buying it or trying it. It probably doesn't even cross their mind until it becomes an option when they started ordering food in the states.

>b-b-but muh shelves

Again, Vegemite is in most grocery stores I've been to. 99% of the US population has not tried it or even thought about it. Shut up
>>
>>22074348
In many countries buttermilk isn't even sold as is
>>
>>22074082
This ladyboy is wrong. Pretty much every supermarket has its own version, plus there's the generic Newman's Own and Hellmann's as well.
>>
>>22074075
Yeah, they sell it as tatziki sauce in europe.
>>
>>22074551
Tzatziki is something very different.
>>
I've seen it here but people uselessly put lighter dressing on salad without any mayo.
Usually just vinaigrette, sometimes a yogurt based dressing.
>>
I am tired of dumbass people waiting for influencers or internet trend to make them discover things, instead of discovering on their own out of curiosity.
>>
>>22074551
>ranch and Tatziki sauce are the same thing
How retarded do your taste buds have to be to come to this conclusion?
>>
Ranch isn't that amazing. Don't know why it's getting popular.
>>
buttermilk isn't really available in most of Europe but the idea of using some cream and garlic as a sauce is nothing exotic, this whole twitter viral campaign is fucking embarrassing
>>
>>22075000
is American buttermilk something different because you can get Buttermilch in every super market here
>>
>>22074954
But it's so much easier to just be told what to think.
I guess the braindead zoomer generation is perfect for the military.
>>
>>22075000
>buttermilk isn't really available in most of Europe
you speak using a mouth made of tiny sausages
i.e. you may be a liar and a deceiver

nice trips though
>>
>>22075003
The buttermilk I get in the states is thick and tangy as hell. Idk
>>
>>22075000
>isn't really available in most of Europe
You what? It just isn't as thick as the American type but rather thin.
>>
>>22075003
If it helps buttermilk makes pancakes taste good.
