That looks just like it got in contact with some air.
That brownish gray is what meat actually looks like after like a few hours because oxidising at normal oxygen levels.
That red only keeps because they put it under a "protective atmosphere" of much higher percentage of oxygen, which makes they myglobine react to a bight red product. It's artificial basically.
Smell it and if it smells fine it is fine if you cook it thoroughly.

Wash it first. Gotta get rid of the slime for sure. I'd brine it too, it'll need a good soak in a sterilizing salt bath to get the slime in the nooks and crannies and help with the putrid flavor.
