its almost like Millennial nostalgia is not profitable long term. They will go in there, realize it doesn't make them feel like they are 12 again, get depressed and never come back and go back to their empty apartment

Going to Pizza Hut on Sunday after church used to be a thing. Not every single week as there are other restaurants and sometimes people would go home or have a potluck. But any given week, there were enough families going to Pizza Hut after church for it to be busy most weeks. Now families are smaller, "broken", and church is far less of a cultural institution than it used to be.
>>
>>22076228
goyslop should only cost ~ 1 hour min wage.
these places are going to be dead until the price comes down
>>
>>22076090
The parent company of PH recently announced that they were selling the chain. That can't be good news for anyone involved.
>>
>>22076090
It turns out the people who constantly post nostalgia slop don't actually want to spend money on nostalgia slop
>>
>>22076701
This sounds so depressing lol
>>
>>22076903
That is obscenely high. Only 40% of people are employed. Someone working full time is 35 hours in 7 days, and needs 14-21 of these meals; x2.5 to cover the person deemed unwelcome in slavery. That's more than 100% of income just for food.
This is why extreme violence is coming.
>>
>>22076090
Nostalgia only reaches so far. The biggest problem is the same one Masters of the Universe faced, all the people who have nostalgia for that era of Pizza Hut are middle-aged and their kids really didn't latch onto their parents nostalgia as much as previous generations, because instead of the GenX Millennial experience of parents giddily showing their kids the old pieces of media that formed them at the appropriate age for it to form them, they watched ADHD Youtube Reels and Fast Food reviews.
On top of that, the Gen X Xillennials they're trying to court were one of the early generations to embrace a firmly anti-corporate stance that leads them to, when dining out, being more likely to find mom-and-pop restaurants, the boom of both Bourdain and Fieri in the early-00s, just about when Pizza Hut was abandoning this concept, was "find that local hole-in-the-wall local small business restaurant"

it's not 1990s prices anymore, with cheap buffets. that's why.

>>22076096
i like it more than little caesars and that went bankrupt months ago in my city. replaced by CCP shit, literally run by commies. and the commie shats aren't even cheaper.
>>
>>22076945
>"find that local hole-in-the-wall local small business restaurant"
not me. im not a damn hipster. i just want cheap fast food that don't suck.

modern fastfood mostly got too expensive.muh hipster shit run by "mom n pop"(actually almost always indians/commies and illegals) were never cheap or good. not most of them. at least fastfood had more consistency.
>>
>>22076943
in the 90s when min wage was $5, you could get a combo meal from most fast food places for the same price, and $5 buffet was common
now you're trying to argue that this food should be eaten 3x a day by the poorest workers?
>>
>>22076974
I'm just saying that demographically there are more people (not all people) who fall into the Local Restaurant with interesting flavors desire than previous generations that were more inclined to streamlined, know what you get style places.
Just like how Masters of the Universe still got a few million asses in the seats, a nostalgic Pizza Hut like 1987 is gonna get some asses in the seats.
It's just not gonna be enough for a big-budget business model and it would do better if you tried to take the likable tropes of Pizza Hut in 1987 and apply them to the currently successful modern restaurant concepts and tastes.
Like instead of calling it Pizza Hut, have the same thing, but call it "Midwestern-Style Pan Pizza" and make it a Barcade with a long beer list and cocktails, get some classier salads and have more than 2-5 nostalgia-bait 80s arcade games. Have a party room that can be for kids or adults and give it a family friendly atmosphere.

In my area, many employees are racist, christian, and lgbt. They will mumble racial slurs. They will imply that businesses should fail so that people should be going to church instead. Lgbt might drug your food, which is even worse for you if you're old people who go to restaurants. I don't know how employers tolerate this, and pizza hut went out of business.

>church is far less of a cultural institution
This is good. In my experience, the people that went to church did so out of some sort of obligation to a self imposed label rather than to be in communion with or, God forbid, ACT in accordance to the teachings of the personages of their "holy book." Church was and to a large extent still is a "one and done" thing, a checkbox.

When we were kids, we used to jocularly say "Pizza the Butt" which was a pun combining the names of both the restaurant Pizza Hut, and the character Jabba the Hut from the then-popular movie Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. It's one of those jokes you'd never get if you're not old enough to remember either, but had us rolling with laughter in junior high.
>>
>>22077655
haha that's so funny :P
......NOT!!!!!!!!!!!
XD
>>
>>22077655
The B for Butt comes from Jabba? That doesn't really work. Was this at the "special" school?
>>
>>22077610
This is a thread about Pizza Hut, not your mental construct about why you couldn't get laid when you were a teen. Please stay on topic.

No. The "the" for "the Butt" is what comes from Jabba. The "B" for "Butt" comes from pic related.
