Why do rice cookers still trigger people on this board?
>>

I do love toast though

Everyone needs to eat, the barrier to entry for /ck/ posting is therefore very low, as a result you see the laziest and poorest people on the entire website here.
They have sour grapes about everything

I just throw some bok choy and frozen dumplings in the rice cooker with a little water, push the button and wait like ten minutes.
It's a pretty good dinner, and easy to clean up.

this is a japanese anime cooking board. go back to readit soyjack/qa/, you fakers.
>>
>>22077586
you're suppose to use the steamer attachment.
>>
>>22077586
I do this too, it's my go-to lazy meal. as other guy said, should get a steamer basket if you don't have one.
>>
>>22077586
Is that one of those regular cheap rice cookers? I'm scared to cook anything other than rice and quinoa and other grains in my $100 plus Toshiba cooker.
>>
>>22077541
What is that black thing sticking up on the left side of the rice cooker?

Yeah it's just a cheap one. Did they give you a steamer tray with the Toshiba?
I wouldn't be afraid to experiment, they're pretty resilient gadgets. Asians do all kinds of crazy stuff with rice cooker recipes.

A good quality Jap rice cooker is invaluable if you eat a lot of rice and keep it for longer periods for multiple meals. If you only cook rice once in a while to accompany a certain dish, it's a waste, and you're a total cooklet for needing one.

a complete meme

This is a meme. It also applies to you.

The worst threads on this board are "Is ____ a meme?" "Did I get memed by broccoli?"

All of it is wrong. There is only one way to use it here, and it's to describe image macros. If you look it up in the dictionary it refers to a spreading idea. Nothing about a hoax or a ruse. Fuck you and the kids who are using it incorrectly.

I thought this was a shitpost but it does look weird so maybe it's not. It's a bumpy rice scoop from the side. I'm convinced the bumps do nothing but make it harder to clean afterward so I use a smooth one.

who thinks that toaster is a unitasker? there many things besides straight up bread that can be cooked with it. waffles, strudels, english muffins, bagels, pop tarts,’za . and if you get a toaster bag, the possibilities are endless

rice is actually the only thing you can use a rice cooker for as far as I know, unless you’re up for a potentially life threatening experiment. though still I’m not knocking rice cookers, they’re definitely useful
>>

>>

you can steam vegetables in a rice cooker
you can cook oats in a rice cooker
>>
>>22078109
>there many things besides straight up bread that can be cooked with it. waffles, strudels, english muffins, bagels, pop tarts,’za .
most of the ones you listed are more or less some kind of bread
i have no idea what a pop tart is, hence "most of the ones you listed"
>>
>>22078145
Pop Tart is a toaster pastry. hth
>>

used by anime watching incels because they're too stupid to figure out 1 cup rice, 2 cups water, bring to boil, cover, reduce heat to low, cook 20 mins.
just like how they're too stupid to realize that all anime is just a re-hashing of dbz.
>>
>>22077623
anime has nothing to do with this website and your unruly cunts that think it does need to be committed.

shut your bitchass up. no one cares, this site is nothing but bots and trannies and tranny bots.
>>
>>22078145
I know they are more or less bread, but there’s obviously a lot of variety there, enough that I’d argue it is not a unitasker.
>>
>>22078165

I thought multicooker was the same thing as rice cooker?
>>
>>22077541
Who the fuck owns a toaster? If you have an air fryer, a toaster oven, or even a stovetop you do not need one.
>>
>>22079312
I don't want toast from a fucking air fryer. It wouldn't be the same. Stovetop either. Sure you can get creative but it's not real toast.
>>
>>22078798
No, a "multicooker" is a standalone pressure cooker with a timer. Rice cookers don't work under nearly enough pressure to make multicooker recipes. They can be used for more than just rice, though.
>>
>>22079456
it's the same thing. heat is heat.
>>
>>22078109
rice cookers are also steamers. honestly I probably use mine more for steaming than cooking rice.
>>

>>
>>22079629
most multicookers are instantpots and instantpots are pressure cookers. the pressure cooker aspect of it is 95% of its utility.
>>
>>22079456
You're right, it wouldn't be the same. It's significantly better, since you can butter the bread before toasting it and let it really saturate the toast.
>>
>>22079695
Thing, USA does not exist. USA does not manufacture ANYTHING, not since the 80s. If you didn't 3D print it yourself, it's from China and they lied to you if it's labeled from USA.

The correct form of this meme is really:
>Thing, China :(
>Thing, Japan :0

And this also applies to "American" food that comes from everywhere BUT America. If it's corn, well that's actually American. But no one posts about corn.
