>oil the bottom of the pot
>2:1 water to rice ratio
>bring water to a rolling boil
>cover and reduce to low heat
>set timer for 20 minutes
Perfect rice every time
>>
>>22078404
Get deep sauce pot with lid
Boil long grain white rice for 15 min with half tsp salt
Strain 3 times to get starch off
Cover barely in water, add half tsp salt
Put lid on until boiling
Turn down to lowest heat
Wait 20min
Take off and fluff and put lid back on to absorb last moisture

Perfect, soft, loose, fluffy rice every time

Bruh this is a skill issue that you should resolve before buying a dedicated machine. If you can't make good rice normally, how are you expecting to do it well with more advanced tool?

Describe your pan technique

>Describe your pan technique

eye ball a bunch of water to boil

eye ball a bunch of rice a dump in

set to low temp cover pan with tin foil until water gone

Isn't that a slow cooker, not a rice cooker? I know they can function like one, but they're going to be more expensive right?

I just grabbed the first relevant pic

im interested in if it's worth paying extra for the fancy or just get a basic

Don't get anything fancy. It needs to cook rice, that's it.

>>22078851
it's well known to be a shitty slow cooker but a good pressure cooker which can do anything a slow cooker can, and yes it's more expensive
>>
>>22078853
Could be, just depends what else you make. I only make rice, so I definitely wouldn't need to pay the extra for the other features. Lots of people definitely swear that it's worth it if you do.

Get the cheapest zojirushi unless you cook rice for a lot of people. I generally cook rice for 3-5 people and this one works out for me and it’s small so I can shove it in a cabinet when I’m not using it.

why would I need to wash my rice shouldn't it be clean out of the bag
>>

Absurdly terrible recipe, ricelet.
