Why are KFCs in America where it was invented so dogshit compared to KFCs overseas? Try to find an explanation that doesn't blame minorities.

Americans will put up with more shit. We'll pay more for crappier food if it's marketed right. And there are fewer scruples about preservatives and artificial ingredients in the USA. They would rather pay a team of scientists in a lab to find a way to make 40 cents more profit per bucket by adding some chemicals. That's just how we do it and it's why I'd rather pay less for better chicken at the grocery store deli and even some gas stations over KFC.

can you elaborate on the specific differences between international and domestic KFCs?

how do you figure? they use the same stuff in the EU, but over there they are less transparent about it and the labeling standards arent as strict. many europeans mistakenly believe they arent being fed preservatives because of this.

When I visited China maybe 10 years ago, I ate at a Pizza Hut over there. It was essentially a sit down Italian restaurant, with food a step (or even a few) above the typical Pizza Hut stuff we get in the US. The reason for this was they had no competition compared to all the higher quality Italian eateries over here, so they naturally positioned themselves in the higher quality dining market. And Chinese restaurants which were a dime a dozen faced steep competition that pushed many to the cheap fast food tier. McDonalds was an outlier keeping about the same standards, but these cheap Chinese places were even cheaper than them which means they got moved up a tier in the restaurant ecosystem. So not all big chains keep the same low standards as in the US, because the lack of competition overseas means they’ll fill whatever hole in the market they can.

I went to a Popeye's staffed by White Russians and it was some of the most delicious chicken I've ever had.

Make of that what you will.

Significantly more competition. Some businesses thrive others are crushed by it. KFC is the latter. How many comparable fast food chicken restaurants are there overseas? In the US you can have Chick Fila, Popeyes, Zaxby's, Wing Stop, Raising Canes, Bojangles, Churches, plus grocery stores and local restaurants selling fried chicken in the same area. How many overseas KFC are directly competing with almost a dozen or more places selling comparable product in the same town?

Marketing and complacency. Why should they try with such fame? Well, they're finding out now.
>>
Competition. US drive through places are just relying on complacency and routine over here and it fucking sucks. The fast food places back in euroland have to compete with local places to be cheaper but still as good quality or better. They usually have better sourcing, management and staff than the US in order to survive. As a burger the franchising here is what kills the brands, you can have a pretty decent location of KFC or whatever, then they change owners and it goes to shit. There's just no consistence of quality here, it's russian roulette buying american fast food honestly.
>>
Honestly, KFC America corporate just doesn't care anymore. It's too much work and they just want to have a nap. Also, as long as JUST enough people go to keep them afloat, they'll never need to really do anything. People should stop going altogether.

KFC was pretty late in getting an app while their competition all had apps years before them

Minorities are literally the cause of every problem on planet earth

They have to try harder outside of the US, as american fast food is not seen as a necessity, but rather a treat. So if the slop ain't good Charl-Michelle from Brandenburg oblast won't come back for seconds.

central european KFC has a lot of menu items that are not available in the US
especially chicken burgers and wraps. if I buy at KFC, I get a Grander (large chickenburger with bacon and cheese) or Mega Pocket (chicken wrap with potato pancake). or a Qurrito, which is basically a chicken quesadilla. so none of my usual items are available in US KFC

conversely, they don't serve mashed potatoes or gravy over here, unlike in America

Because after COVID SYGMA corporation bought every competitor and monopolized being the food supplier, the switched to cheaper easier instaslop as the supply options.
Fucking KFC is $40 a fucking bucket now. I tried going to one and the workers gave 0 fucks that they did not have chicken breasts and would not give extra legs to make up for the lack of meat cause "hurrr durrr corpo borpo say I can't do that"....
Popeyes went to shit to. They used to be the best chicken fast food chain. Now I'm lucky if they even get the order right.
>Want decent fried chicken?
>Local chain or grocery stores
>And yes, even gas station fried chicken blows these places out of the water
>Better prices, better quality, better service.

I switched to a competitor for their spicy flavor

The main reason is coming down to the capitalistic demands for unlimited quarterly profit increases from publicly traded companies. The way the system works is that eventually you reach the peak of expansion where you cannot expand anymore based off the quality of service. So your options are to introduce new stuff, then eventually either raise praises to get more quarterly profits or to cut costs and cheapen out the product and service. Either eventually has you outdone by newer or non-publicly traded competition and replaced.
KFC as one of the oldest chains reached that time and cheapened out so it got overtaken in the USA. However it is not as established internationally so it has only started to reach the point of beginning to cheapen out in Asian countries for example.
The other answers are shit
>America has worse food quality
Actual pseudoscience that has been disproven so many times
>There is no competition
USA has far more competition for chicken. Chick Fil A and Raising Canes for example barely exist outside the US, Popeyes even barely exists outside the US

I went to a KFC in Thailand in 2007 and it wasn't that much better. Burger King and McDonald's had a much more substantial increase in quality there.

KFC has fallen in the UK too.
It used to be Ok but things have gotten bad.
> Burger King and McDonald's had a much more substantial increase in quality there.
Americans visiting the UK say the same, ingredients are sourced locally and that makes a big impact.

Cool non-sourced image dr facebook.
Now provide the academic research on this table as no one has before. Some of these are the same thing and are twisting the words based off size. This is how you are easily manipulated.

>That plus the BBQ sauce had Thai peppers in it.
Nice.

I have been to the USA, 5 different states and although the portions are large, I found their beef rather bland, they tend to supplement it with sauces and powders. I gave up eating American steak, it was just a huge disappointment.

I have also eaten at Keens in NYC - it's supposedly famous for their Mutton but it's not really mutton.
Anybody who knows anything about Mutton knows that you can't order it rare or medium rare . . . .you would be chewing a mouthful all week, it's Lamb/Hogget. They define it differently.

>This is how you are easily manipulated.
Since school, you have been putting your hand on your heart and sing to a piece of cloth, it's YOU who have been manipulated.
It's not your fault, it's the way you have been brought up . . .may I suggest getting a passport and see for yourself?
