It's also worth remembering that old dinnerware often used glazes made using toxic element. Stuff adorned of red and yellow glazes especially, are often made using cadmium. Thankfully for OP, blue glaze is made using cobalt, iron and sometimes copper for a deep green color.
>>
>>22086358
So cobalt, iron and copper are not toxic, but cadmium is?
>>
>>22086364
not that anon but yes. cadmium is a highly toxic heavy metal (not unlike Disturbed) and iron, coppa, and cobalt are not

"Heavy metal" is a poorly defined buzzword and used haphazardly in toxicology

For example, copper is relatively nontoxic compared to cadmium. Copper is a "heavier" metal than cadmium.

FYI

My family used them regularly for most of my life and I think only a plate or two is left. My dad likes to call them the "heathen chy-nee" plates.

>Disgusting
You can tell that the fish was very fresh by looking at the clarity of its eyes, especially in the head.
And after you’ve finished eating all the flesh, the head and bones are fried or cooked into soup and served.
