I don't get the criticism, the food tastes great
>>22087158It's mediocre and overpriced
>>22087158Olive Garden was a pioneer.
>>22087158people just are desperate to think they're too good for it and have moved up in economic class past itit's the perfect restaurant for a middle class family (ie you have actual children) that wants to pig out in a little bit of style for a good value
olive garden was always the fast casual restaurant I didn't mind going to.
>>22087158Italian food is too easy to make at home. The only reason I go there is for soup and salad.
People who can't cook will complain about it because it is what they make at home every night they aren't ordering food.
>>22087158for what it is, it's good.
I have t eaten there in probably twenty years, but I loved it when I was a kid. For me, it was the lasagna.
I used to eat there with my co-workers quite often. I think I ordered the Tour of Italy every single time we went there. So much so, my co-workers stopped using my name and just started calling me Tour of Italy Man
I've been to an Olive Garden once. I ordered veal ravioli. It was sparse, tasteless, and overcooked. The soup was Campbell's-tier, and the server informed me that they had run out of breadsticks. I still count it among the worst $25 I ever spent, which meant more 30 years ago than it does today.
