I’ve eaten at Indian restaurants a total of four times in my entire life, but what I’ve had is good shit. However, most of what I’ve ordered or made are mild curries (ex: Butter chicken) or westernized dishes that technically aren’t authentic (ex: Tikka Masala).Again, I’m into what I’ve had, I just don’t particularly enjoy feeling pain while I’m trying to enjoy a meal. I can handle some heat, and obviously I’m not out here looking for unseasoned garbage, but what are some dishes you can recommend to someone who’s not looking to give my tongue a metaphorical ass-reaming?
>>22087317anything, just identify what is providing heat in any given recipe and reduce or remove it. typically that means chilis and/or chili powder. there isn't really anything else in indian cooking that makes things spicy so it's really easy to adjust.
>>22087317Best is to go at lunch time when have a buffet. You can try any of a variety of their most common dishes. That will be a good start.
