What is up you Bloody Bastards. Tonight I’m making an Instant Pot Chicken Biryani. I’ve done this before and it was great, but there is a liquid issue so tonight I will try rectify that.
First rinse some rice and let it soak while I cut an onion up, season the chicken thighs and get some spices ready. Issue I had was the pot is massive and the liquid evaporates before enough pressure builds up.
1 clove of garlic
Garlic is squared. Add some ginger to that and dice up a tomato
Got the spices and aromatics ready. Now time to season the chicken then go start cooking.
Almost forgot the stock. It’s a good thing it’s my choice.
>>22097793We are underway. Browning the chicken which takes forever because this thing doesn’t get very hot.
6 minutes a side.
First batch is browned.
>>22097799I wonder why is there 1000 induction rice cookers and zero induction pressure cookers. Feels like ih would fix this.
>>22097806It’s probably too much pressure to design one.
Onion is in the pot.
Lifted all that fond.
Butter, ginger, garlic, cinnamon stick and bay leaves.
Bloom the spices now.
Tomato and some salt and pepper.
Coat the rice then in with the stock and chicken on top.
Let’s go.
The pin has popped. I think this will work lads!
The cycle has finished. Now we wait for 10 - 15 minutes. Will finish it with some lemon juice and fresh coriander.
Releasing that pressure.
Here’s the rice.
The chicken.
>>22097763>lion redNice
Little bit of salt, lemon juice and coriander on the rice.
>>22097806what did he mean by that
And a little more lemon, coriander and some pepper to finish.
>>22097851Show hand, I don't wanna participate in a brown thread
