I've never had any issues eating raw chicken in the US. I very infrequently use it but regular cheap 1.99 a pound Wegmans breast never made me sick in 14 odd years.

I think many of you kids eat too clean food sometimes and that's why you get sick all the time. Your digestive system is an incredible thing and can make do with many types of parasitic and rancid food.

Stop using antibacterial soap all the time while you are at it.

I work in a hospital and some coworkers get sick more or less often, I've seen no correlation in over a decade working where you get the most exposure possible to microbes and disease. People walking and breathing and eating normally in the outside world will get passive exposure just fine. A much bigger difference maker is not doing things that temporarily weaken your immune system, like running yourself ragged by pushing too hard with too little sleep, or constant alcohol/drug use. Avoiding things that put high levels of stress on your body's systems will make more of a difference than just not washing your hands like a retard.
Doing something fucking stupid like eating raw chicken or eating finger foods with dirty unwashed hands might fuck you up, but whether or not it does depends more on genetics and how you're treating your body than it does how often you lick toilets or munch down spoiled food. If you want to be mr immunity then make sure you sleep well, eat well(not rancid food dumbass, the opposite), and abstain from shit like alcohol/drugs that weaken your body's immune system.

All good info. Thanks. I know what seems to work for me I guess. I grew up eating strange things now and then. Probably helped me get accustomed to it.

Here is a cute wolf girl for your response.

The US has a major worm problem because people love undercooked shit quality meat. Your boomer take is dogshit

Yeah if you want to avoid sickness, then taking care of your sleep, eating things that do not torture your body for the hell of it, and avoiding shit like drugs/alcohol are the 3 best things you can do. 90% of the time in my experience coworkers or patients get sick because they stop taking care of these areas of their lives.
Have a nice day, anon.
>>
>>22099133
ofc none of that is to say that food regulations and sanitation are unimportant. Anyone who has ever had a hearing on risk exposure at work is taught that preventing exposure at all is better than individual protection, which only supplements.
>>

>The US has a major worm problem
Source? As far as I know worms are pretty rare and often come from hunters eating undercooked meat, but farmed meat pretty much never has worms. Japan actually has a higher than expected issue with worms because of how much they eat raw wild caught fish.

this shit is disgusting. sashimi in general is a meme. california roll dipped in spicy mayo is where it's at.
>>
>>22099113
this isn't food or cooking since raw chicken isn't food and isn't cooked.
>>
eating raw chicken is the biggest midwit retard thing you can do, you only want to do it because someone else said you cant
it fucking tastes awful, raw chicken is slimy and sour
>>
>>22099133
i would be an unstoppable machine if i had a proper sleep schedule
>>
>>22099133
i worked in a hotel during covid behind the desk
we would do laundry right there
i would deliberately not use gloves while doing laundry
because i wanted to develop “natural immunity”
during covid, lol. never got sick once
>>
>>22099151
Tried to find it again, no avail.
>>
>>22099208
Agreed. You want to thoroughly cook chicken, it's just that you want to do this as softly as reasonably possible, as cooking the shit out of it harshly turns it tough and dry. You want it cooked, but soft and succulent.
>>
>>22099113
Well... Duh? You cant eat raw chicken. Too risky.
>>
>>22099392
*if you are an elderly/compromised person

Probably because Covid-19 is an airborne virus, ya dingus
>>
People rightfully make fun of India's ridiculous lack of hygiene and then you have threads like this where half the people would love to eat raw meat and have brilliant insights like "anyone who isn't old or weak can candle some bacteria/parasites in their food."
That these apes wash their hands after wiping their asses is nothing short of a miracle.
>>
>>22099394
you underestimate how eating raw chicken could ruin your life
>>
>>22099149
Yeah for sure, food regulation and sanitation are very important. Just not eating awful disease-riddled crap to begin with is paramount.

>>22099248
I'm happy nothing bad happened to you but you rolled the dice like an idiot.

>>22099418
Covid can last on fomites for a lot longer than you might think, anon was being a fucking retard.
>>
>>22099394
Salmonella is no joke. Doesn't matter what stage of life you're in. It'll wreck your shit.
>>
>>22099113
Government in stone age meant punishment if you rob or kill other people in the village
Government right now means "you can't eat that citizen"
The extent of overreach increase is insane

Raw chicken is not halal. This is a decision to attract tourism.
>>
>>22099133
I've been an alcoholic and smoker (only when drinking but drink 2-5x a week) for a decade. I've gotten sick 2x in the past 3 years.
>>
>>22099119
but I need the antibacterial soap to wash my chicken
>>
>>22099642
My skull is empty, the parasites would just starve hehe
>>
I ate raw chicken before. It tastes better cooked. In fact, cooked chicken tastes so much better than raw chicken that if you were to try and assert otherwise, I would automatically assume that you were severely retarded.
>>
Just checking back in after a few years. So you guys are eating raw chicken now huh
>>
>>22102723
That's a lot more often than most people I know so thanks for proving my point, addict.
>>
>>22103861
people posted jack webms because he was a brain damaged cooklet lolcow. Ironically he is about on par with the average /ck/ poster now, especially the fastfood faggots
>>
>>22099113
Good.

Just like with the raw beef craze in the late 2000s and early 2010s in Japan, once regulations require restaurants/bars to train staff, buy special equipment, and dedicate kitchen prep space SOLELY to that dish, the overhead skyrockets and everyone stops serving it (besides the traditional places in kagoshima/miyazaki that have been serving it for decades/centuries already).
>>
No one in the history of civilization has ever been able to regulate food. In Japan or the US, we will always be able to get the food we want in the way we want it. It's a non issue.

It's like raw milk. They literally have raw milk at my grocery store and you kids have been freaking out about that shit for years. Raw chicken is good. I have it once in a blue moon. Why are people here so bored they obsess over a non issue?
>>
>>22104033
Kek liar. I worked in restaurants and people were sick all the time
>>
>>22104737
Oh, that industry where people were way more likely to be doing drugs/alcohol, working long shitty hours n awful conditions, and eating shitty leftover meals than anywhere else? Yeah I bet those people were sick a lot more often, retard.
>>
>>22104736
>you can't stop it 100% completely totally so no food has ever been regulated
Just because a regulation doesn't get 100% total compliance doesn't mean it didn't move the needle in the direction that the regulators wanted.
>it's like raw milk
Less than 5% of people consume raw milk in the US and it was no doubt a lot higher before regulations.
