How do they do it? Every location seems to have bad reviews, the food is meh. But the place has been shooting to the moon recently stocks too.

Americans are mostly tasteless cattle.
>>
much like subway the actual footprint of a wingstop kitchen is fucking tiny which means they can fit inside other buildings and sublease a quarter of a gas station. this means their choices for where they can place a restaurant are incredibly higher than a standard restaurant. and they can put locations in areas without many other choices for very cheap and even if quality is low they will turn a profit because there aren't any other options.
>>
>>22105540
The EBT industry is incredibly lucrative.
>>
>>22105540
they’re the best big-chain wings, which isn’t saying much
>>
>>22105672
At the end of the day everybody fucking loves fried chicken. People just love fried chicken, universally. Wingstop is basically a glorified fried chicken restaurant, of course people are going to be all over it.

If anything, what needs to be studied is the failure of KFC, because, as mentioned, PEOPLE LOVE FRIED CHICKEN. Wingstop is doing great. Popeyes is doing great. Church's is doing great. Because people love fried chicken. How Kentucky Fried Chicken has managed to spiral into ruin despite this fact needs to be studied.
>>
>>22105682
I think they fuck with their recipe too much and their menu. their pot pie and filet sandwich is pretty good. also getting a new woke colonel every few months is offputting
>>
They put sugar on their fries
>>
>>22105672
Better than b dubs?
>>
Absolute trash wings, but they stay open super late so zoomers and ghetto dwellers can order door dash late.
>>

>Hot food on EBT
Even in NY it's an arcane program that is only done by select restaurants. Frankly the only one I've seen with it was an explicitly Halal Restaurant with fancy Imam paperwork that was clearly going out of its way to do it out of some Charity religious goodness type thing.
>>
>>22105857
Practically every fast food restaurant I go to has "we accept EBT" signs.

>How Kentucky Fried Chicken has managed to spiral into ruin despite this fact needs to be studied.
Not everything needs a "study". You can find out just by trying it once. Even Colonel Sanders before he died identified the problem.

>[Sanders] was highly critical of KFC after selling the company in 1964, famously describing the gravy as "slop" with a "wallpaper taste". He also criticized the chain's Extra Crispy recipe, calling it "a fried doughball stuck on some chicken". His public disdain for the quality of the food and the misuse of his image led to legal disputes, including a lawsuit he filed against the parent company for $122 million

Wingstop preps and fries the chicken just before each order, the only question of quality is how old the chicken is and how clean the worker's hands are. I've never had a bad chicken tender there, and their fries are 'just okay'. Their ranch is excellent too. My biggest issue is its $16 for tendies, fries, and ranch but considering the labor cost, I kinda get it.

is that why our food has the best flavor on earth?

Lets not get ahead of ourselves, Rambo Peterson. American food is great but not best.
>>
>>22105540
Fastest-growing is a meaningless metric. It just means that a lot of people thought that buying a franchises would be a good idea. It does not mean that a lot of people think buying the food is a good idea. Wait 5 years and 90% of those places are going to fold or convert into generic uber-eats kitchens.
>>
>>22106099
American "flavor" is sugar and salt.

The one near me shut down a location in a strip mall and opened a new location 3 units down in the same strip mall. The same people work there. I wonder if this isn't going on country wide.
>>
>>22105540
Probably people with no social skills like that they put to go orders in lockers with one time use codes. I never heard of EBT use for restaurants since that's a state thing mine doesn't allow but that doesn't hurt in those states that allow it (sorry to the anons that tipped off they lived in such hellholes).

I always ask for the wings extra well done, sometimes they do it sometimes they dont. They also scimp on sauce.
>>
>>22106201
I stand corrected. Sorry to Florida, I don't know if that overlaps with the EBT at restaurant states.
>>
>>22105540
They offered free delivery once, but a half hour after the order was accepted, they cancelled it. I have never tried going there ever again. If I ever want wings, I'll get Korean fried chicken instead.
>>
>>22106214
We have Chicken #1 as a Korean offering in the dfw area and that is so good but not near me, Lisa's chicken is viet run so that's what I like close to home.

best wing stop sauce?
>>
>>22106164
Why would that be sus? Maybe the new unit worked better for the restaurant?
I don't know many franchisee's who would shut down on purpose just to open up again in the same location and franchise. Seems like just a normal location change. Happens all the time.
>>
>>22106214
Korean Fried Chicken near me is so worth it compared to KFC. Costs less for more, and I can get half no sauce, just crispy and half with that spicy sweet sauce no idea what it's called but I know some anons know.
>>
>>22106473
It's called sweet and spicy sauce.

>>

The largest inefficiency of a restaurant is the menu. When you make one thing efficiency is increased, worker happiness increases, costs are reduced, and margins are higher. Make XYZ now is a stupid design perspective for a kitchen.
>>
>>22106467
You're contradicting yourself. Bot? And what the fuck do you mean how is it sus? They moved from a corner location to an equally sized central location. It's less accessible, less convenient, less visible and they had to pay to remove all the shit from one location and either move it to or replace it 48 feet away.
>>
>>22106646
The other spot had an hiv exposure and it was easier to move locations rather than jump through all the health inspector hoops to reopen the old one.
>>
>>22106646
Are you retarded? In what way do you think my response would come from a bot to a highly topical and situational /ck/ thread?
Use your big boy brain and think of reasons why. Lease ran out, got a better deal? There is no Wing Stop conspiracy you fucking loon.
>>

No fucking clue what you’re on about, b-dubs wings are always bordering on flakey dry whereas wings top is waterlogged. Like you can legitimately taste how diluted wings top is by comparison.
>>
>>22106646
>It's less accessible, less convenient, less visible
aka "costs less to rent"
>>
>>22106707
We don't really know. But those that remember it say it was a far cry from the current mix, which is just salt, sugar and pepper.
>>
>>22105540

it's not about selling food to people, it's about selling franchise licenses
>>
>>22106701

It's just a bot.
>>
>>22106707
It probably wasn't the cheapest flavorless garbage we know today. Theres not way a dude in Kentucky was making that shit and having a successful business. Its crazy how corporate boards will let that shit happen just to make the line go up for 1 quarter, now YUM brands is facing bankruptcy and 50% store closures.
>>
>>22105857
It's fraud, anon.
>>
>>22106561
I've noticed that since delivery apps took off, every new restaurant just specializes in one food type with 2-3 mains, 3 or so starters and a couple desserts. I assume because when people decide they want burgers or Asian "street food" they'll just choose a restaurant and don't want to spend too long scrutinizing the menu.
>>
>>22105540
I don't know. I like it better than buffalo wild wings, which has really declined in quality in recent years.
>>

Because every restaurant that tries to do everything ever made does a shitload of stuff poorly. People know a WING PLACE will do WINGS better than mcdonalds for example.

I think a big thing was the gravy change, and removing the wedges, the best two things. Also the "snacker" was a real chicken tender on a bun with some mayonnaise and a little bit of lettuce. The "chicken little" is half the size, same bun, just mayonnaise. The first was 99c, the second is almost $2
>>
>>22106748
you could be right, I haven’t eaten there in 6 years
>>
It's literally goycattle buying a brand on recognition, that's it. There's a broasted (practically fried but better) chicken place by me that's cheaper and tastes better, but my coworkers still doordash wingstop. People literally get excited on the fee times I order, since it's usually from there and want in on it, but they never order it themselves. It's like it disappears from their mind as a possibility because it's not a fast-food chain
