Have you ever personally known a cook that was terrible at what they do or have bad taste in food?

Yeh, he was a high school drop out who’s first job was a “cook” for the dementia/full care side of an old folks home.
I was on the assisted living side, basically fast food mixed with diner. There was some cooking, and i learned how to make stellar oatmeal
But this guy
Apparently they “made” the food by heating up frozen products and blending most of them… they didn’t actually have anything on that side except microwaves and a steamer.
He really struggled on the grill, and any frozen veggies he would cook for longer than directed because they didn’t “look right” otherwise.
He also spelled bacon “becan”

when i worked at a bbq restaurant we hired a vegetarian line cook who lasted less than a month
we made our mac and cheese sauce from a roux which he always managed to fuck up

every single one of them thinks mayonnaise is edible.
it's not.

>bbq restaurant
>vegetarian

Really curious about why he made that choice. Was he chill or did he have some detached ambition about converting the place to vegetarian alternatives?

the latter of course
