Do people still drink 40s?
>>22106827Can't even find 'em where I live anymore. 32 oz. is the new limit in this shithole of a state, it would seem.
>>22106827Its the can for me
if I want to limit/pace the amount I drink then yeah, otherwise it's a 12 with a 40 on the side
>>22106827Olde English for me. The plastic bottles don’t hit the same way as the glass ones.
>>22106827>You've been in a coma for quite some time. I'm afraid it's been 25 years.
for me it was Hurricaneme and the lads used to call them canes for short
I did until last year either st ides or steel reserve
I used to drink 40s of Steel Reserve back when they were 2 for $3. But they raised the price and I switched to straight vodka.
>>22106930>when they were 2 for $3when was that?
>>221069352018
>>22106935Not that nigga, but it was a pre-chinavirus thing. Where I lived they were $1.20 each and in a glass bottle at that. Stores don't even stock them these days
A 40oz of Mickeys or Olde E goes for like $4.50 here now. 32oz of Miller High Life for $2.75-$3Cheap beer ain't cheap anymore.
>>22106947>>22106949damn those were my prime malt liquor days and I never saw those. I just use to buy the “ice” beers all the time or, god forbid, shit like natty daddy. which was $5-6 for a 6 pack of pints.
>>22106935I live in a major city and 10 years ago a 40oz of Mickey's was $1.50 at a 7/11Zoomers will unironically know how based life used to be
>>22106965getting good deals on hobo beer seems like a sad metric for QoL but I hear you anon
The cleanest, best pleasure
>>22106827>>22106846Had a couple of olde english on the 2nd with a buddy to get ready for the 4th.>>22106958That's about the same as where I live. Now I usually just get them as something quick and cold on a hot afternoon.
>>22106930https://youtu.be/cj2nYo-PqX8 this is you
I prefer strong zero. Higher quality and unique cold process to make. It's like, what... 60 cents a can? 9% alcohol. Can't beat that really.
>>22106827non-burger here. what do these taste like? do only blacks enjoy them?
>>22107292they don’t taste good, the higher the abv the worse it is. it’s like everything a beer hater doesn’t like about it made more pronounced. and no, the black people thing is just a stereotype from decades ago. sure they drink it but so does every poor guy with a drinking problem.
>>22107296Is it a really thick sweet taste by any chance?
>>22107301yeah I was struggling to actually describe the taste but that’s it. a bready sweetness you need to drink as cold as possible to counteract, even then it’s still been stripped of everything that makes a beer taste refreshing
>>22107308I guessed right, in my country we have gordons platinum, which comes in half liter cans and is 12% and it has this exact taste. I have had many bad beers but I could not even swallow this one it was so bad.
>>22106877in this world its hard to stay soberi feel the hurricane taking overwhen the world hangs hard on your shoulderswe're drinking over and over and over
>>22106935You can still get some cheap ghetto shit for that price at a lot of grocery stores. I know the store I go to has 2/3 on Natty Lights. I don't drink them, but I know they exist.
>>22107353that wouldn’t be all that surprising for some tall boys, anon was talking about 40 oz. the only way you’re finding deals like that nowadays is if the store has some shit they need to get rid of
>>22106827No just cut out the middle man and get liquor.
>>22107370who’s the middle man, water?
>>22107296>>22107308Opposite for me. They taste crisper and more refreshing than a regular lager when it's the right coldness.
>>22106877Did you eat Raisin Canes with them?
Being /druk/ all day every day seems comfy desu, shame it comes with so many detrimental side effects.
>>22107426yeah it's great, i think if i didn't have to work i could be /druk/ five out of seven days a week. if only two days sober was enough to compensate.
>>22107426not even that comfy after the honeymoon stage. you’ll still do it anyways
>>22107466Nah I like being a functioning human too much.
>>22107426Having withdrawals right now from another bender it really isn't fun. Contemplating to ask someone to buy some vodka for me because I can't walk(couldn't walk yesterday because I was so drunk and can't walk today because withdrawals hitting hard)
>>22106827i drink OE 40's but my all time favorites were the St Ideas flavored 40s from the 90s. ran across one about 20 years ago in a beer shop
>>22106846Man it's been a long time since I had an Olde English. Must be 25 years. A guy paid me 6 40's, to repair and update his computer.
I get drunk every once in awhile and I can't possibly imagine getting drunk off of these. I would be pissing constantly. I guess you're just supposed to chug a lot at a time?
For me it’s crazy horse.
>>22106827Mixing King Cobras with Four Lokos is one of gastronomy's greatest mysteries. Two things that taste vile mixed and taste somehow better
>>22106841>asks for a 40, get a 24 that can barely get the teen babysitter tipsy
8% 25 ozs are $1.42 a can at my local walmartclosest thing to strong zero we'll get since US -196 is too weak
