Post your dogs, boys. I’ll go first…
Giant all beef frank on sweet Hawaiian roll bun. Topped with miracle whip, Kinder BBQ sauce, an entire diced up Serrano pepper, and fried onions. Four different cheeses. I also put Big Mac sauce underneath the frank. Air fried.

I put pic related on mine. I like it. If I don't have it, because it's often sold out, I'll swap it for Heinz 57 or lea and perrins steak sauce.

I wasn’t trying to impress anyone. I wanted to make a thread about hotdogs where we post hotdogs, ideas for hotdog topping combinations, etc. So I posted an image of some hotdogs I made.

When I would play outside my mother would make me lunch which was often an hot dog on a plate with some ketchup.

When in a bun ketchup isn't allowed, but on a plate I enjoy the ketchup and it takes me back to sitting outside at the picnic table having a pan fried hot dog :]

This would make a little sense if there was an actual hot dog frankfurter sausage under the peas. I actually quite like peas, and other similar things like lentils, so this might actually taste good to me.

You'll never buy ketchup again or you'll hate it. There's very little middle ground, it's one of those things you absolutely love or hate. You'll put it on everything and jizz your pants or you'll retch.

I put it on burgers.

I like to wrap them in puff pastry.
You just get a sheet of puff pastry, roll up hotdogs or other sausages inside and seal it.
Bake in the oven for 20 mins and they're done.
Two ingredients! Easy
You can also add other stuff inside like cheese and chilli
>>
>>22112704
I like them with quasson pastry as well but either way those always hit the spot

People don't realize how long deep fried onions go on a hot dog. Thank you, Iceland or Denmark or whoever came up with it first.
>>
>>22113336
It goes a long way in terms of adding texture imho - needs an actual crunch besides the frank snapping. There’s a different chain called The Chicago Dog House that you can look at for recipe inspo, they’ve got all sorts of extra stuff like wagyu, alligator, topped with gold leaf + caviar, that kind of stuff. Problem with these larger chains is they always use the poorest quality giardiniera and I think it lends to the wrong impression of our food culture, e.g. Portillo’s in Arizona
>>
>>22113418
Most people don't know what giardiniera is, and look puzzled when you mention it. Growing up, I thought they had it everywhere. So the first time this happened, I was confused. "You don't have it where you live?"
>>
>>22113423
