who buys eggs at a farmers' market?
>>
>>22111560
Me, today. They were $2 a dozen for eggs from a small farm 4 miles from my house.

i will continue overpaying for eggs while you eat slop

They voted for kamala btw
You can tell by how they spell and likely eat avacado
>>
>>22111595
Nah, those are good eggs

>>22111587
For real though, if you can find a roadside stand they’re usually better and cheaper
>>
>>22111602
i can tell by the fact that it's in sacramento
>>
>>22111575
Eggs, the food of kings.
>>
>>22111551
Imagine the smell of that place

The Central Valley is full of hippie chuds

I've never been to a famer's market where eggs were particularly expensive. But I also never went to one during my time in the US. Why do Americans get so upset about fresh produce and non-goyslop? You can't have a discussion about cheese, meat, vegetables without someone getting seriously upset that there are products that aren't branded or sold in shrink wrap.

The OP is talking about "dollars". The vast majority of times when goyslop is talked about it is US brands and US chains. It seems to be a national phenomenon? Having been to the US myself I have seen even upper middleclass people stuff their faces with dogshit like panda express, but they could actually cook as well.

>Live in a suburban wasteland where nobody is allowed to keep chickens
>No roadside egg boxes in miles
>forced to either buy the overpriced yuppy brands in stores or take dedicated trips for good eggs
Fuck this shit. I might just become the president of the HOA so I can change these bylaws.

Me. It was 2 dozen for 6$

>>22111747
You get into arguments with strangers across the planet about eggs on a deceased Ugandan basket weaving forum. Btw
>>
For me it's SMUD
>>
>>22111665
I don’t know but it bothers me. We’re raised to believe in American excellence and whatnot but then 2/3 the country tries to tell you to accept low quality food or you’re some pretentious asshole
>>
>>22111587
You're overpaying for eggs and also eating slop while people who buy from local farmers/neighbors get better for less. Usually better for free because of how many eggs those chickens will lay and a bag of eggs makes for a good gift.
>>
>>22111733
Is it the by laws or the town/city/county ordinance?
For me, you can’t have chicken within city limits unless you have an entire acre of land :(
But i work on the edge of rural, and pass 3 different chicken stands on the way in. :3
We have a butcher in the city that carries farm fresh eggs too. Do you have anything like that to see what they carry?
>>
>>22112137
You know your experience isn’t available to everyone, right? And even if everyone did exactly what you did there wouldn’t be enough?
Like
You HAVE to understand it’s simply not around for everyone.
I’ll be legitimately disappointed if you can’t grasp that.
Seriously.
>>
>>22112147
With how easy it is to obtain chickens, it's pretty readily available to most people unless you live in the middle of a city. Even then ive seen people with chickens in their backyard
>>
>>22112147
Anon said he's paying more while other people are eating slop and I'm correcting him by telling him that he's both paying more and getting worse than people near farms or neighbors with chickens. I did not imply anywhere that this was something universally available to everyone. Where on earth did you get that idea if not from your own head?
>>
>>22112152
There’s already someone else in this thread who doesn’t know someone with chickens.

>>22112156
Your tone implied to me, i can accept being wrong though
>>
>>22112179
Your post gave me the implication that you're the original anon and butthurt about getting called out on his shitty overpriced eggs, but I'm playing my cards close to my chest with that one because I can't prove it in court.

I just thought it was rude and sympathize with grocery egg buyers

if you dont want to pay sacremento prices, dont live in sacremento (you probably cannot afford to anyways lel, vagabond)
>>
>>22111551
I charge 10 for a dozen pasture/organic eggs that were laid the day before and 20 for a flat of 2.5 dozen laid within the week.
We sell around 800-1000 dollars worth of eggs every saturday at the farmers market.
>>
>>22113024
Damn son! What state?
>>
>>22113077
An expensive one.
Somewhat omparable organic/pasture dozens go for like 12-15 at nicer supermarkets.

>>22113012
Imagine bragging about living in inland California LMAO

>>22113117
sacramento is way nicer than, say, san bernardino/ile

I'd rather pay more for eggs from chickens that have a decent life than enable the barbaric practice of factory farming.

Fucking retard. You don't even have to live in farm country, just be within driving distance
