Every time I buy pistachio nuts at least a few of them are rancid. There is NOTHING worse than biting into a rancid pistachio nut.

I think I should just cut my losses and switch to cashews/peanuts

you should be inspecting the nuts before you shovel them down your gulette anon. the withered emaciated grey and moldy ones that look like rotten raisins can easily be separated.

now if you are required to eat exclusively in pitch darkness or happen to be blind you might need to devise a new system
