They're the better of the fast food fried chicken options, but they're also more expensive for no good reason, so you'd be better off sticking to their limited time deals if you end up going.

The batter is cripier, and trying to go for LEAN in a chicken sandwich, is not exactly the best culinary decision. Yeah, maybe it tastes "healthier" or "leaner" more "frufru" or "bougie". But what you're really getting is a dry chicken breast. Popeyes costs less and still beats it head on in taste.

I'm surprised they are opening one near you OP, I thought they were closing hundreds of locations.Expect some car damage from the massive potholes in the parking lot and you're better off ordering inside than from the drive thru because the speaker is always fucked. The staff is rude and probably fighting with each other. Don't go less than two hours before closing. Get the spicy chicken sandwich or the bone in chicken. The tendies are like a thin slice of breast with mostly breading, avoid. For sides try the red beans and rice. They've also got fries that are usually pretty good and mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy.
Went back to the state since I haven't been in several years. Fondly remember Popeyes for some reason. It was garbage. Like $18 for a meal with 2 sides. Red beans and rice tasted bland, Mac and cheese was watery, and chicken was awful
I always wonder if people who post positively about Popeyes are crack heads. The only fast food place around me unless you want to drive 40 minutes is a Popeyes at the truck stop and it is very gross.
