It's only about a 40 min drive to Columbia, MO, which is a good sized college town. I grew up in mid MO....there is a lot to do and is a beautiful place.

If I lived 40 minutes from anything to do I'd go out of my fucking mind

>Arrow Rock, MO.
>The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.
>None of the population and none of the families were below the poverty line.

I always wondered how do people in the middle of nowhere do their grocery shopping? Like do you have to bring a cooler with ice in the trunk or what? I live about 1/4 mile from the grocery store and my food will almost completely melt bringing it home on a summers day
>>

We would bring coolers if we went into town sometimes but a lot of times we only got our meat from local farmers direct or small stands that sold veggies. We had multiple deep freezers and bought in bulk. In winter you just stock up big time and always have a stockpile of food around.

I always wondered what they do for health care. Nearest hospital being at least 40 minutes away doesn't sound great
>>
>>22113378
It's a problem sometimes. We have small regional hospitals for minor things like broken arms, burns, bites, ect. (not the best) but if you have some massive medical emergency, they take you on a helicopter. Also we have regional on call family doctors.
>>
>>22113384
so no kind of quick response. you're fuckin dead lol
>>
>>22113384
If an ambulance is thousands of dollars I can't imagine what a chopper ride costs.
>>
>>22113387
You pay for his helicopter via higher medical premiums
>>
>>22113385
Are you constantly worried about dying?
>>
>>22113214
I would eat this, simple flyover fare is good
>>
>>22113385
>muh medical response time
