Love me a subway slice.

This one is a vodka ravioli slice, topped with hot sauce, crushed red pepper, oregano, garlic powder, grated parm... and black pepper. Black pepper is underappreciated on pizza and perhaps in general.

You always add way too much grated parm
>>
>not really supposed to
>not really
you are NOT supposed to. it says so on the sign, which reads: ABSOLUTELY NO EATING ON THE TRAIN

It was allowed but I feel some guilt about it: was starving and grabbed a burger for lunch, ate it in my mom’s hospital room right before she passed on, she’d had several strokes (related to stage 4 cancer) leading to locked in syndrome and I’d taken her off food and water a week before (hence the guilt about eating in her presence, but in my defense it was because I didn’t want her to be alone).

Is eating allowed on NYC trains?

>Yes, eating is allowed on NYC subway trains. There is no formal law or MTA rule explicitly banning the consumption of food on the subway system, though the MTA recommends riders be considerate and avoid messy or pungent items that create nuisances.

>However, drinking liquids in open containers is prohibited. MTA Rule 1050.6 (f) forbids carrying any liquid in an open container onto a conveyance (subway train or bus). This means you cannot drink from an open coffee cup, but you may drink from a sealed bottle or a cup with a secure lid (such as a Dunkin' iced coffee cup).

>Buses: Eating and drinking are generally prohibited on NYC buses.

>Commuter Rail (Metro-North/LIRR): Eating and drinking are allowed.

>PATH Train: Eating and drinking are strictly banned in trains and stations.

>Social Norms: While legal, eating full meals (like roast chicken) is frowned upon; discreet snacking is common and widely accepted.
