>local pizza place has started outsourcing all its deliveries to uber eats and door dash
>>22116850Holy shit, how back woods are you? I'm in flyover central, and all the pizza places here have been doing it that way for several years now. Welcome to the 20's I guess. You'll live.
>>22116855I live in a moderate-sized city and it's hit or miss on if pizza places cuck out like that. It's by no means universal, Mr.Flyover.
>>22116850Im agreeing with OP who is also an anime poster. What is this world coming to?
>>22116866>I live in a moderate-sized cityCleveland?
>>22116871You're becoming self-actualized, embrace it.
>>22116875Pidsaer
>>22116850Pretty much every major restaurant, at least, does that. Even if you order delivery directly from their website, you will find the tracking takes you to Doordash.
>>22116850I would never order delivery from a place where the drivers weren’t employees of the restaurant
>>22116875Kek, nah ive never liked anime. Been on this site since 2011. OP just brought up a good point. I almost always go pick my food up myself if i order out.
>>22116985armpitzza
By the way even chain places with lots of drivers will still outsource if you don't live in their designated zone. Just FYI>>22117003Mordpits
>>22116850Just pick it up yourself, retard. Paying for delivery is the dumbest fucking thing in the world. Do you not go outside and into town yourself most days anyway? Job? Gym? Grocery shopping? Pick up your fucking slop as the last errand before you go home.
>>22117165Yep. Unless ive broken both my legs or have some other debilitating injury, i am getting my food myself.
>>22117165I'd add it makes sense if you're less than sober, but also plan that shit out unless you've fucked up your planned dinner. Are they swapping to the corporate delivery because they can upcharge ridiculous prices and make more profit? Or is it a matter of "staff" delivery drivers sitting around making $0 for the night so they just fuck off to corporate delivery anyway? I've never delivered pizza nor have I know anyone doing that shit. I had a GF once that had everything delivered because she refused to get a car: its always some minority either in a 25 year old clapped out car, or a BRAND FUCKING NEW car.
Would you rather work for one company to do deliveries or just work whenever you want to delivering whatever to whoever?
Have you considered that restaurants really hate employing delivery people as they quit constantly because it's one of the shittiest job on the planet?
I only slightly miss seeing those little delivery dongles on top of cars. Being a delivery driver sucks. You use your own car and they barely compensate you for fuel and maintenance
>>22116850Stop giving them your business. Things will continue to get shittier if there are no consequences.
>>22117257This never works. The vast majority of the public are cattle who will accept anything that happens to them. You're outvoted, chud.
>>22116850Holy shit I never knew I had a deeper level of rage untapped until this happened to me. The fucker took an hour to deliver half a mile and then had the gall to call me and ask me to come out to the parking lot to get my pizza. The pizza was fucking ice cold too. I pray for the meteors to wipe us out.
>local OP started taking estrogen after using tranime AGP images
>>22117364Rent free, you're worse than an AI. At least an AI does a search before printing out a reply. All you do is copy the same trite shitpost you got from here. Imagine seething and dilating on an anime website about an anime picture.
>>22116994basedI never get food delivered
>>22116998I do not share your tastes but yeah it's 100% the right choice to pick up food when you're ordering out. There's already too little friction between the desire for food and it reaching you these days, the trend of needlessly using doordash for shit you'd never leave your own house for has been an awful thing.
>>22117463>There's already too little frictionin everything now.
>>22116855I live in NYC and it really varies, some places are only app delivery, some use the app for intake and billing but handle delivery with their employees, some are completely off the apps. It is very flyover of you to assume all business operate exactly like the 6 restaurants in your metro area. Also my condolences on living in flyover land, I've been there, I know the pain.
>>22116850tyrone shoots pizza delivery guy = pizza shop's problemtyrone shoots uber eats delivery guy = not pizza shop's problem
The dominos near me does this, how does it even work? Can I ask for the in house driver? Or what?
>>22116850Based small business owners FUCK those stoned teenager delivery drivers
>>22116850>Local post office started outsourcing deliveries to food delivery companies.I know this as every time I get a parcel, i get a card with a signup bonus in the box as well for them.
>>22117823I called mine when it happened. The manager was apologetic but he said he didn't have a choice. The owners don't let him hire full time drivers. Sometimes they have one but often they don't. So now I just call ahead and ask if they have a driver on hand and if they don't I get something else.
>>22117831Dystopian.
>your assigned delivery driver shows up an hour and a half late driving pic related and pulls your order out of an old grocery bagwhat would you do?
>>22117828Who do you think is driving for doordash, retard?
>>22118040What should they be driving, a mercedes?
>>22117463Agreed 100%. Ive seen the phrase "luxury poverty" and it fits people who order from those services. In fact i think a good insult is "that person looks like they order DoorDash"
>>22117247I actually do Uber Eats deliveries occasionally if im bored. But i live in a rural/suburban type setting so i dont need to worry about being in the big city and all the weird parking and non-parking. With that being said it can be pretty comfy; delivering food to people's houses with driveways and streets you can park on, quiet country backroads, having whatever music or podcast playing that youd like, etc. Not a bad way to kill an afternoon and make a few hundred.
>>22118279*shoots you for toeing your car into the wrong driveway by half a foot*
>>22118279I'm scared to try it. I don't live in a big city but the roads here freak me out. You can barely see the lines for the lanes at night
This is why I don't tip drivers anymore.
>>22116850I always delivered pizzas with a hot bag. But then again, I'm not a third world faggot so. Just try to order for pickup, then you can eat the pizza on the way home like a chad.
>>22116992What's even worse is Wonder. Everything will be a Wonder soon and have all sorts of bullshit ass ghost kitchen
>>22118279Before my accident, I used to do Uber Jeets and all the other delivery gig things and I made routinely without even trying about $600 a week. And I was getting my disability check too so it was EZ money. I lived in a hotel most of the time and I'd literally go out whenever money was a little low or I was bored and deliver food or alcohol or packages. Was fun. I really do miss it. Saw a lot of interesting shit too during my delivery work. Had a customer of mine on Uber Jeets that was a legitimate multi millionaire. House was about $4 million or so.
>>22118565Then drive during the day. Don't be scared to try new shit, anon. You'd probably make damn good money too since you live in a smaller plac.e
>>22117259Probably had two or three orders on top of yours, no way to keep the food hot either.
>>22117463It all started during Covid. That's when I made super bank. Was an "essential worker" and delivered all during Covid. I think I started in 2021 or some shit.
>>22117823Papa Johns does too. And not really, you can ask for pickup instead of delivery or if it's too inconvenient, ask for a refund. They have to do it.
>>22117831Former USPS here, doesn't work that way.
Is it at least $15 an hour to do this?
>>22118676To deliver food? If you cherry pick, shit yeah.
I deleivered pizza in high school and i was definitely expensive for whoever tf owned the place.>made kitchen wage instead of server wage>plus tips>plus paying me to fuck around and make personal stops when im driving>plus i sucked at every possible thing i could do in the kitchen when there were no deliveries. too dumb for cut table so i would mix sauce or fold boxes.outsourcing to doordash makes perfect sense. plus that job was frankly sketchy at times thanks to sex pests so i think it's best career doordashers with nice cars take over.
>>22116850Gotta agree with OP. Uberjeets and Door Ass basically has zero quality control which is why they put sticker seals over your food to show if they've opened them or not and I've not only seen plenty of horror stories but also seen them first hand from co workers who ordered with them. It's always third worlders delivering your food who can't speak English and have zero concept of first world high trust societies. These aren't "stoned teenagers" or Americans teens in general. Those are the people these establishments decided they didn't even want to give them cheap ass below Ethiopian slave wages to work for them, IE it's another case of whatever they can do to shave off costs for their business as they can without realizing that domestic people who don't have a job won't have money to buy their product. This is why so many of these places are closing down and blame the "economy".Expect it to happen to hotels too because I've noticed a handful of them don't even have front desks to greet you anymore, it's a kiosk with a Jeet on the screen half way across the world saying hello to you in broken English and having the machine dispense a key card to you after you put your credit card into the machine and now this foreign person is handling your private information, totally not a security issue at all seeing that we're talking about the scam nation here. And all because these people hate you so much they don't even want to pay you MINIMUM WAGE.Never give these businesses your money much less attention. They are the most anti American companies in existence. Vote with your wallet and they'll disappear. Who cares if Funkopop owning Reddit normies still buy from them? News flash they don't have infinite disposable income and their neet bux will eventually dry up. Actual working Americans should never tolerate anti American business practices and they won't.
>>22118714Retard, have you ever stayed at a hotel before? I've lived out of them for a while. None of that shit is even happening. That kiosk shit was at some crack shack motel.
>>22118714The only thing I agree with you is with the Uber Jeets and DoorSaarDash. I don't know why the fuck it is entirely immigrant based.
>>22116850I want girls to look at me like that
Am I gonna get shot if I Door Dash?
>>22118714>anti American business practicesdafuq you talking about? it's exploiting cheap immigrant labor. that's one of the most american business practice out there. just say you're too poor to use it and move on. that's 95% of the complaints you all have with the service.
>>22118760>just say you're too poor to use it and move on. that's 95% of the complaints you all have with the service.>What's wrong? Too poor to eat shit quality that may also have shit in it?I never once complained about the price of the product in question, I always complained about the business owners not paying people a fair wage and just cutting out the middle man and replacing them with the lowest common denominator. I don't care about the prices of the food itself, I'm not trusting some dubious fecal bathing third worlder to handle my food and give me the worst service known to man and expect me to pick up on the payment that the pizza place was supposed to pay an employee in the first place, are you retarded or just trolling? You could have the best food in the country but I'm still not going to your establishment if you hire the third world because you're going to get third world quality.>>22118720>La Quinta>Crack shack motel>Has locations in not just the USA but also Canada and Mexico>This is some small hotelNext you're going to say the bigger businesses don't adopt the experimental practices smaller businesses already tried. You people deserve what you tolerate but don't you dare complain about it when all you did was act like it wasn't a big deal on some Bosnian yak farming forum.
Why are the door dash people the trashiest people on earth? They legit hire fiends or some shit, got delivery for 20 years locally never had an issue.
>>22118792>La QuintaNigger, please lmaoI'm Choice Platinum right now, Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy, etc etc. Call me when you actually experience something of class, you broke piece of shit.
>>22118795Either they're disabled (like ya boy right here) or some fucking fresh outta prison or halfway house motherfucker. OR third and a half worlder.
>>22116850lame. an african immigrant who could barely speak english showed up to my house the other day trying to deliver something to the same house address in the entirely wrong city and zip code. he didn't understand how to read an address.
>>22116850I live in NYC and the last 3 uber eats/grubhub orders they fucked up my order by forgetting things because the staff is entirely made of illegal immigrants who can't read English and grubhub thought I was gaming the system and lying about fuck ups and threatened to ban me so I just stopped using those garbage services. I have heard others have similiar complaints. Basically if the pizzeria or any restaurant still does their own deliveries, they usual get shit right but if they outsource it they fuck it up and fuck that I am not keeping track of all of that
>>22118631>What's even worse is Wonder. Everything will be a Wonder soon and have all sorts of bullshit ass ghost kitchenI refuse to believe this. Their food quality is ass and over priced I refuse to believe people are using them regularly.
>>22118820In my area, they're popping up like crazy. But it's Delaware so no one knows how to fucking cook.
>>22118279I don't understand how anyone makes money doing that. You spend half a day driving around, t here goes half your tank of gas or more. An order of food costs 20-50 dollars. I assume Uber takes 90% of that at least. It must take at least 30 minutes per order to pick up and deliver if you have no traffic and it's ready when you get there. So you can do what 5 to 10 deliveries a day assuming there is always someone ordering close to you all day long and you say you make hundreds of dollars from that? In rural bumfuck nowhere? I would love to hear how that math works out.
>>22118720>>22118760>it isn't happening but if it was it's a good thing american jobs are being taken and service is getting worse you don't want your banker masters to suffer do youSure smells like something in this thread, I can't quite put my finger on it but there's a familiar scent in the air.
>>22118792>I'm not trusting some dubious fecal bathing third worlder to handle my food and give me the worst service known to man and expect me to pick up on the payment that the pizza place was supposed to pay an employee in the first placelol you've never even used these services have you? you just read bullshit anecdotes on here and believe it's universal. i have used them, several hundreds of times since 2020. the number of times i didn't actually get my food i can count on a couple fingers. and even then doordash will refund it without question, either an actual refund or credits on the platform.face it: you're poor and you're seething.
>>22118792>La QuintaEven the name is third world — what did you expect?
>>22118866My rudimentary understanding is uber drivers essentially make less than minimum wage because of the wear and tear to their car. Basically they can get a couple deliveries, take about $5-10 for those deliveries, hope for a tip on each delivery, so say $25 for 3 deliveries. Even if they're getting 20mpg because they drive a shitbox and leave it running most of the time, for 30 mins of work they see $25 cash in hand while burning $5-10 in gas. They're coming out ahead *today* but as soon as they get a flat tire, need a repair on their car, or what the fuck ever, they would've been better off simply not working leaving the car parked.
>>22118890> they would've been better off simply not working leaving the car parked.LOL
>>22118266Illegal immigrants mostly
>Every response to people complaining about hiring practices involving illegals and H1B rats is "You're poor"Gee golly, it sure isn't transparent damage control in here at all. Wonder who it could be. I'm sure they wouldn't pompously call me a Dalit like their caste system means anything here.>>22118792>Next you're going to say the bigger businesses don't adopt the experimental practices smaller businesses already tried.Nailed it.
>>22116850>>22119092Say it with me Everyone.Soros
>>22118800I haven't seen fart huffing like this since Applefags treated their products like a cult religion.>What's wrong, can't afford to eat a shit sandwich? You're so fucking poor, look at all my brand name shit!Congratulations, you know what a loyalty program is. Are you seriously bragging about staying at a hotel?>Hilton>ClassTop fucking kek, even corn chucking country crackers go there. You have to be 18 to use this site. Start bragging when you go to a hotel without your middle class parents.
Damn it feels good being an in house pizza delivery guy in a small town
>>22118923It's stoned teenagers and young adults who can't get actual jobs.
>>22119185Yeah sure, that's why a Jeet at Microsoft with the smallest modicum of power fired all the Americans and replaced them with all Jeets right? It's all those "lazy Americans who don't wanna do those jobs" right?
>>22118640This isn't in the US, and its done by a company called imile who then but the uber jeets drivers.
>>22118040>coupeI give him an extra tip for being based
>>22116850Dominos have been doing this for a while. I give them a 1 star review saying I dont like that they outsourced it. Got a few free pizzas for it from corporate ("free" if I order $25 worth of pizza lmao)
>>22119365WTF are you talking about? You see OP complaining about in-house delivery jobs being replaced by doordash? The losers who were working in-house delivery jobs become the losers who work for doordash. No idea what schizoid babble you're on about with Microsoft and firing all americans, I was talking about who tends to work doordash jobs and it's people who would be doing similar slave labor when in-house delivery jobs were more common.Biggest difference is they have no health insurance now so they go to the ER for every problem and default on their medical bills, increasing insurance costs for everyone else to the benefit of corporations who don't want to deal with employee health insurance.
>>22117258You can still opt out of having subhumans touch your food between the restaurant and your home but your learned helplessness means you'll accept anything they do to you because "You're outvoted, chud."
>>22119621nta but those same subhumans are preparing your food, which is much worse than carrying the container of it but it does make sense to minimize the amount of such contact where reasonably possible and just get it yourself. In the end it's best to order from smaller places that care more about who they hire, but sadly those are getting choked out and a lot went under during covid.
>>22118315Kek, thankfully i havent had any encounters like that>>22118633>Uber Jeets Top zozzle thats good. Sorry you got hurt anon. Hope youre doing better. >>22118866Since im in a less populated area there is less wear and tear on my car. The roads are pretty good out here too, not dodging potholes everywhere. I also didnt mention im in rural bumfuck - I'm in a rural/suburban area thats about 35-40 minutes from DC. There are moderately sized towns around me that are mostly where i deliver. I also drive a sedan, not an SUV or big pickup truck so my car has better gas mileage. It doesnt take 30 minutes per order usually, although it can. you would be surprised at how lazy people are. When i got laid off and before i got my new job i spent about 2 months doing Uber Eats. About 6 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. On each given day i would make around $250, sometimes a bit more or less. I would just keep going, no breaks during those 6 hours and i would always fill my tank before I started so i wouldnt have to stop. Made sure i had a few snacks and a big bottle of water to keep me going. Sometimes if i was on a roll i would stay out longer. Also, if youre delivering a lot and getting good ratings, Uber upgrades you to a Silver and then Gold driver as long as you keep consistent. As one of those Silver or Gold drivers you get priority for higher paying deliveries since youve demonstrated you do well. There are also bonuses, like hey deliver 5 deliveries in an hour and make an extra 25$ or something like that. I was able to pay my mortgage and bills doing this. Im married so i have a wife that also works, that helps immensely with bills. I am not sure if i couldve done it solo.
>>22116850What exactly is your complaint? You think non-franchise ff places can actually afford to hire dedicated drivers?
>>22119768the jeets who do uber don't know what they're doing. they also don't give a fuck about doing their job properly so constantly make mistakesa dedicated delivery driver for a company has to do it right or they risk getting fired.
>>22119773My suggestion to you is: stop living in a place that imports jeets.
>>22119777the only place that doesn't import jeets is the place jeets come from
>>22119781I'm guessing you're American? Most countries learned their jeet lesson by the early 2000's.It is amusing to see you guys going through it now.
>>22117004Is she farting?
>>22119116Yeah i like every Hilton ive stayed at but it is far from an upscale or boutique hotel. Something like Hotel Monaco would be for the upper crust.
>>22119116You couldn't afford half of the fucking places I've stayed at, you queer. I literally stayed in the nicest hotels when I worked for the Postal Service and would routinely meet up with milfs in the hotel bars. What's it like being a nopussy bitch like yourself? >hurr fart huffingGo huff a job application, dickhead. Don't ever respond to me talking that stupid shit.
>>22119398what the fuck? wow
>>22119764You could've easily done it solo, man. I did:>Doordash>Amazon Flex (what a cluster fuck that was)>Instashart>Uber Jeets>Grubhub>Amazon Logistics (DSP)>USPS>UPS (seasonal)I have legitimately delivered for 95% of the entirety of logistics. Only company I didn't work with yet is FedEx. I did it solo as well. If my health and vision were a lot better, I would've honestly gotten my CDL. I love driving. I don't love people though.
>>22120250>I literally stayed in the nicest hotels when I worked for the Postal ServiceI pray to the good Lord I never end up this out of touch and delusional.
>>22116850Go pick up the pizza yourself then you lazy subhuman.
>>22120250nta but it's a fuckin hotel man. I'm happy for you if you stayed at some nicer ones but it will never be home. You just sound really insecure about things if you gotta brag up hotels you stayed at of all things.
