I'm not being intentionally shitty to the Australian aboriginals but I've seen a lot of programs about their traditional cooking and lifestyle and read a bit and it doesn't seem like their cookery wasn't much more sophisticated than throwing whole uncleaned fish and animals on fire or coals. How did the Maori and other Pacific Islanders develop real cooking methods like the fairly sophisticated pit cooking but the Australian Abos never did? It's kind of difficult to find good information about this subject because apparently it's forbidden knowledge in current year.
