Have you ever eaten food that you killed yourself?
>>22124251>killed yourself
Yeah, only shrimp though
>>22124251fish, sheep, rabbitthe rabbit was a boring, it was roasted over a bonfire outdoors without any seasoning
>>22124262Yeah but skinning a squirrel is kinda funny>ALLEY OOP!
pheasant and quail was the only thing i enjoyed. not a huge deer venison fan.
Squirrels and also a deer I ran over
>>22124251Deer, it was not so good.
>>22124436based car hunter
>>22124251Why would anyone do this in 2026?
>>22124270none of it was "funny"dont know where you got the squirrel fromalley-oop yourself
>>22124251Deer, elk, bear, cougar, rabbit, grouse, quail, chicken, trout, salmon, sturgeon, bass small and large, crayfish, rock fish. Out of all of those elk and sturgeon were/are the best.
>>22124251who hasn't? everyone has fished some time in their lives
One time I killed a duck and I felt so bad about it that I cried. But I still ate it lol
>>22124251Yes.I purchase meat from the grocery store, which directly supports the slaughter of animals. Their blood is on my hands.
>>22124790https://youtu.be/3FhVvNGsJV8?si=0NjagvKXSYinQnhn&t=22
>>22124251About 8 spiders a year.
No matter how bad a meal I cook is. I would never kill myself over it
>>22124805Based industrial slaughter enjoyer
>>22124251I bawled like a baby when I had to put down the family hamster because it had some kind of sickness. Don't think I would have done well in the pre industrialized world I am too softhearted.
>>22124909Mourning a beloved pet isn't bad, it's natural. Going out and doing a clean and humane kill to get locally sourced organic meat is totally different. Always target practice, and only shoot if you know you'll get it. Wild game actually lived a great life, farmed meat from the store is misery
>>22125248Then why is it looked down upon if I eat my dog after he passes away. He had a good life. He's still just meat after he dies though. And why cant I eat horsemeat either, why is that illegal, this whole thing is bullshit.
>>22124909>>22125248crying is for pussies and mourning or having emotions is for EXTRA pussies
>>22125261>then why is it looked down uponIs it? It's not pretty work but it's necessary if you are an ethical meat eater.>eat my dogYou can do that, I guess. It isn't unheard of for people to eat dogs/cats but eating an old pet that has had all sorts of vaccines and shitty kibble is just off putting.
>>22125271Don't cut yourself, bro
I harvested a lot of vegetables for a while. Didn't feel like killing them at the time until I had to chop all the plants down to put the beds to rest for the winter. That oddly felt like killing.
>>22125302There are dozens if not hundreds of tiny little mites in your top ramen. You boil them alive
>>22125261I'm sorry I didn't address the horse meat. I agree, we should be able to eat horses.
Just fish. I couldn't kill a deer when I was a kid. Too many cartoons. Now I could but it'd be some sad shit where I shot one at a feeder.
>>22125323That would be sad. Don't bait them. Get them in their natural element where they are alive and then they're not. Target practice always
>>22125323It's not as fun if you just have feeders set up but isn't it morally better to give the deer a literal feast as his last moments.
>>22125355If it's the first time that it's eating there, sure. But it's a learned thing for them to be comfortable enough to eat there. I won't talk too much shit, but it is baiting
Even if you shoot an animal it's still a few hundred bucks for the license, the butchering, the hunting equipment, even learning how to make the shot. It's like we're being priced out of our own food.
>>22125350I'm too old to take up a hobby just for the end goal of killing some animal, so it would have to be some lame shit set up for lazy old men like feeders is what I mean. So I just won't.
>>22125364You left out the freezer, but you should already own a gun and freezer. Also if they are over-hunted to extinction your out of food as well. And ground beef is like 10 bucks a pound now its not a bad deal.
>>22125373However you can skip the hunting part and just buy an animal. It's expensive but if you get some friends to chip in you can pay for a full service butchering of an animal you've never even seen until it was a hamburger. A whole cow is only a couple thousand bucks.
I'm happy to know that I'll live very comfortably whenever the apocalypse happens. You guys are some of the best consoomers I've ever seen
i’ve caught and killed plenty of fish. but i really want to shoot a deer and clean it for meat. i want the act of cutting into the dead carcass, taking out the organs, and hauling the heavy meat back to my car
Killing may be necessary but one should avoid doing it themselves whenever possible. To kill something else on purpose is to lose something of yourself in the process. A certain sensitivity or capacity for nuance or naive optimism about the world. It hardens you and makes you smaller in a variety of ways. The system we currently have, where the vast majority of killing is performed by spics and nigs who are already less-than, is ideal. In the near future robots will shoulder this moral burden even more efficiently, and soon after we will be able to print steaks cruelty-free, and soon after we will all be virtualized consciousnesses in a server farm somewhere and the burden of killing to survive will be but a distant memory.>>22124785False. I have never fished and have no desire to.
I've caught a lot of fish but I do feel kind of bad for killing them with their dumb big ol eyes looking terrified at me. It feels like I'm killing a retard.
>>22125450Yeah I'm sure the spics and nigs that get used to killing won't at any point decide to slaughter the cowarldy and weak people that have more shit than they do. That has never happend in history before, please disarm yourself and act like harmless sheep while I sharpen my axe behind you.
If I had to be the one to do the killing I'd genuinely just become a vegetarian. I like guns and meat and all that but I'm a pussy I guess.
>>22124251hooker doesn't really taste good enough
>>22125450Ahh yes, the old if a robot slaughters cows chickens and pigs by the millions a year it makes it less bad because a wagie feels no guilt anymore scenario. Whats all that gruesome noise behind the door? Eh, dont worry about it
>>22124251NeverI really want to fish and catch a massive fucking mackerel and cook itGod i love oily fish so much
>>22124251Yeah, I've gone fishing a bunch of times.
>>22124251Yes! My boyfriend caught the fish and he called me over with the net to help him get it out somewhere easier, then he told me to get a rock and he held it still while I got it with the rock, it was a walleye, we should have fried it, he liked it more than I did anyway. I didn't think fish would be so slippery when you butcher them, we drained its blood at home since we weren't prepared for a catch at all.
>>22127417Fishing but not prepared for a catch? Could never be meI know a few people who’ve bashed a fish head and i just don’t get it, just drive a knife into the brain?
>>22127417>Cardooo, your rock is ready
