>In 1930, the Shell Oil Company offered Sanders a service station in North Corbin, Kentucky, rent-free, in return for paying the company a percentage of sales.[7] Sanders began to serve chicken dishes and other meals such as country ham and steaks.[22] Initially he served the customers in his adjacent living quarters before opening a restaurant. It was during this period that Sanders was involved in a shootout with Matt Stewart, a local competitor who had painted over a sign directing traffic to Sanders's station. Stewart killed a Shell employee who was with Sanders, and was convicted of murder, eliminating Sanders's competition.

Sanders sold the company in 1964. How does it feel to be so retarded that you come up with a fake thing to be outraged about despite it being six decades since anyone named Sanders had control over the company?

Not really. Backwoods, redneck assed part of Kentucky. Kentucky has this thing about bestowing the title Colonel on citizens that get nominated, etc., but it means nothing. Dude was encroaching on his livelihood, see above about backwoods, redneck assed Kentucky. That's pretty much it. If you REALLY have to have a hidden agenda attached, I'm thinking there was a major US route that went through Corbin, but the interstate system kind of bypassed it? So the filling station was going tits up and pretty much all his income was the food sales.
