Also, a nice blender is a massive improvement from a cheap one, and a good fridge with separate doors for the fridge and the freezer will make everything in it last longer. Any other fancy kitchen gadget is a meme, get them as a treat if you want, but $5 and $500 knives will work the same for you as long as you keep them sharp, etc etc.
