Do you think we will ever be priced out of onions? That would be a nightmare.

God bless
>>

Stop eating big hunks of raw onions like some peasant who doesn't know better.
Chop them fine and cook them well. That's how onions are used.
>>
>>22130784
you dumb socs will never know the pleasure
>>
>>22130775
onions are literal weeds in some places. just move to an area where onions keep growing on your land whether you like it or not.
>>
>>22130784
raw onion is better tasting than any form of cooked onion
>>
>>22130866
I’m usually doin it raw but sautéed have their place. occasionally a bite will be like an explosion of that sharp onion flavor and it’s too much for me at that point.
>>
>>22130980
>I'm usually doing it raw
Ya you are.
>>
There is nothing better in life then having a food and then biting into a huge chunk of onion.
>>
>>22130775
iim going to send a lot of letters of discontent (parcel bombs) if this ever happens
>>
>>22130775
you can just grow them and probably should
>>
>>22130784
Raw union is for men who want a bite to their onions. Cooked onion is sweet and slimy.
>>
>>22131116
I don't have a lot of land and my yard has very bad drainage and the soil doesnt hold water. I live on a corner house as well with no fence so I feel like covering what little yard I have in raised beds would be weird.
>>
>>22130784
I thought those were hard boiled eggs at first.

>>22130775
Not unless some strange plant disease comes close to wiping them all out and also sticks around and keeps doing so.

caramelized onions are so good but you need 50 of them and it takes too long

Is this your "I give up meal"?

it's just instant pasta calm down. do you lose your mind when you see instant ramen? do you foam at the mouth when someone makes oatmeal?
>>
>>22132215
Yes, this board is for cooking not dumping something into a bowl and microwaving it. You should feel bad; downies can cook better meals than you.
>>
>>22130775
The fuck even is that packet? Actual cacio e pepe takes practically zero effort and literally four ingredients including salt and pasta. Why would you buy that?
>>
>>22132221
"People" like OP consume overpriced packets of freeze dried processed garbage and demand to be treated as your equal. They go around being a net negative on the world and don't even know they're the problem. They even think they're somehow better than you. This is who you're talking to on 4chan in 2026
>>
>>22132217
I only ever post food that I prepared myself using a stove. Sometimes it's instant food and sometimes it's more complex, but I have never posted fast food or reposted images from reddit. Maybe you should redirect your anger to the threads that are entirely unrelated to food, reddit reposts, doordash and fast food, or the guy who reposts threads from the archive on a daily basis and pretends they're his own.

Also when I take a shitty angle, low light shot of some instant food it's because it's done as a joke. We used to have jokes on 4chan.

My dad (who lives in my house that I own) bought them and theyve been sitting in the back of the cupboard and I'm eating time to get rid of them. They are not good and I cook them in beef stock and grate parmesan into it. Yes it's garbage food. I am fully aware of that. If you know how to cook you can make shitty instant packet food taste pretty decent by just adding some flavorful ingredients to it. I'll be browning some mushrooms for the next one because if supposed to be mushroom flavored. And I'll post it again with a whole raw onion next to it, which I will eat. And it is all food that I made myself using my stove and a pan.

Here's a shitty oven pizza I made. Does that make you happy?
>>
>>22132270
Yes, thanks for being my bitch and posting actual food like a good obedient goy.
>>
>>22132270
Well sorry for being so judgemental, though I do get the feeling that you were baiting for a response like mine.
>>
>>22132270
Christ he asked why you bought it, not your life story, dweeb.
>>
>>22132282
I've been posting here for 20 years and honestly I normally wouldn't just post random shitty food I made but I honestly feel like at this point, bumping a reddit repost off of the board with some dogshit slop improves the board quality. I've been eating oatmeal for 4 years for stomach issues and can finally eat real food again so I may do a chicken paprikash cook along soon which I haven't been able to eat in half a decade.

>>22132292
Normally when someone says they live with their dad they would assume I'm a retarded NEET and I felt the need to explain. I just posted some real food instead of an AI image, anime post, or Google images pluck with a big larp of nonsense under it. This board used to be threads of real food that people were making and real discussions on cooking techniques and now it's literally imaginary shitpost conversations about nothing.
>>
>>22132300
This site is garbage its been an extreme downward slope the last 10 years. There is nothing left here but garbage and scumsucking bottomdwellers who come here to dump more garbage on it. This site is dead bro, its over.
>>
>>22132300
>at this point, bumping a reddit repost off of the board with some dogshit slop improves the board quality
It's a sad state of affairs. Glad you can eat real food again, I'll look forward to your cookalong. I made chicken paprikash once a long time ago and enjoyed it, but I kinda forgot about it. I should make it again.
>>
>>22132300
"Someone else bought it a while back and I was cooking it to get rid of it". Less words, less baggage if you actually don't want people shitposting about your live-in pops.
>this board used to be threads of real food
There's still plenty of that, like 30 or more on the catalog, take your pick. The people in them just tend to bitch about how their food thread is the only one in existence when people say their food looks bad.

joke's on you i dice my raw onion finely and put it in a faggy ass grain salad with spelt that's been fried and cooked into a brown roux-like sauce to be boiled in, a vinaigrette with sharp mustard, oil, garlic, tons of pepper and chopped/dried parsley which goes surprisingly well with the darkened roux, and then top it with whatever i feel like.
usually some diced grilled chicken breast.
some vegetables don't hurt either, but the texture is interesting enough with the spelt, onion and parsley.

I don't like altering the way that I speak so generally I just type things out exactly as I would say them in person. I also have a lifelong history of oversharing personal information possibly for attention seeking. I know who I am and I know what I am. Im getting too old to start changing the way I say things to appeal more to other peoples interpretation.

>>22132306
My chicken paprikash is very ghetto because I don't use specialty paprika I just buy a huge jug from Walmart but it comes out very tasty anyway. Its even slightly spicy from the quantity of paprika which most people don't expect from generic paprika that isn't marketed as spicy.

>>22132301
I've been coming here too long to leave and I'm not going to reddit. I like being plausibly anonymous and I like the temporary aspect of 4chan threads. I would prefer for archives to not exist and I think they they have destroyed part of the unique aspect 4chan used to have where when a thread was gone it was gone. I miss 4chan before thread watchers. I miss hitting F5 to check replies. I miss paged threads and catalog mode has drastically changed how people post and allows threads that should die to stay alive much longer. Every 4chan board used to be a unique community and now it's just people slinging shit at each other.

My wife is Indian and she once told me that in Western India, where her family is from, and Southern India, where her family is from originally, there was an extreme shortage of onions one season so people in India were kinda fucked for a while but the upshot is that cabbage bhajis were "invented" then as a substitute to onion bhajis. Instead of using a million onions, they use one onion and a million cabbages.
And didn't the Philippines have an onion shortage a few years ago?

>I like being plausibly anonymous and I like the temporary aspect of 4chan threads
Same, and there’s definitely food and situations I don’t think I’d encounter as easily elsewhere (homeless bridge anon, the guy that broke into someone’s house while they were on vacation and cooked their stuff and left it for them)
