what makes a good hot and sour soup ?how would you make it?
The stuff from Chinese restaurants smells like the horse barn at the state fair. Absolutely vile.
>>22132264Chinkiang vinegar is the key ingredient
>>22132268Last night I ate what looked very similar to op pic from local Chinese restaurant , had about 16 oz of it and woke up 5 hours later and had to spray shit out for about 25 minutes. could I have go cyclopsis from this or is that normal for Chinese hot sour soup ?
>>22132278it tasted delicious I will say though
>>22132278That sounds like a typical Chinese restaurant experience to me to be honest. Chinese food safety is worse than Indian and I say that with no irony. I get sick about 50% of the time that I eat Chinese food.
>>22132275interesting is that like broth can I heat it up and drink it straight and it's good
>>22132264i make this all the time, its alright.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zN5PL3vMFjw&ra=m
>>22132264its a bit of a pain to make at home if you dont have well stocked chinese ingredientsthe most important parts are the black vinegar, a good quality stock, and the dried ingredients, usually shiitake and wood ear mushrooms>>22132278depends on what it was, but usually food poisoning takes longer than that to set incould be an intolerance to something, if its making you sick that fast you'd probably taste something off in it
>>22132443>but usually food poisoning takes longer than that to set inHave you ever considered that they are just lying?I read all these 'food poisoning' stories on /ck/ and they are just laughable.
>>22132264I think the sliced black mushrooms play a part - don't know what they are, but the good hot and sour always seems to have it.
