I wonder if, as the years went by, they continuously cheapened the process of flavoring their beef until now it’s just the cheapest imaginable “smoke flavor” used to cover up the taste of old meat more than to enhance flavor. McDonald’s and Wendy’s, while still shadows of their former selves, at the very least didn’t have patties with a specific and advertised flavor so they just lowered the quality of the patty, didn’t have to lower the quality of the patty “flavoring” or whatever because it’s just salt anyway.

They still use the gas broilers. There are various reasons it could still taste worse now though since that's usually what happens over time with big brands.

Even if you think BK isn't good, there are far worse burgers in America. Visit a gas station. The hot ones are terrible and so are the frozen microwavable ones. School lunch burgers are also worse. I don't believe that you've ever eaten at Burger King, and if you did and think they're the worst, you haven't had many burgers to compare. You're just a fucking moron with some other motivation.

Berga King (aka Hungry Jack's) is fucking delicious. Grabbed a cheeky cheeseburger the other day and it was so goddamned satisfying.
Burger king excels at making burgers for women. Lots of lettuce and shit. Women like Burger King, and also gay men. They should really call it Burger Queen. The burgers that BK offers for men are the worst among other offerings, but a Whopper is pretty good if you don't have a working pair of testicles.
