Why doesn't Australia have a food culture?
>>
>>22142855
Not sure but Vegemite being a prized national treasure is fucking grim. Makes you wonder how desolate things are. Nobody in the rest of the world really knows what goes on down there.

Australia is an assembly of all food cultures. It's the Voltron of food & cooking, if you will.
>>
>>22142855
Australian food is genuinely just bastardised British working class food

>british pie but smaller and with ketchup. British marmite but blander

I think Australia has a good future though food wise due to its coasts and position near Asia. But seeing Aussies come here and pretend they have superior food to Britain is laughable
>>
>>22143206
Written by a seppo who wants to start a D&C with Brits and Aussies.

This is just so obvious.
>>
>>22143210
Aye, I agree with with this.
>>
>>22142855
more like
>why doesn't australia have culture
because they are a colony

also, vegemite is just a marmite clone

the only thing they've ever 'invented' - pavlova - is something they stole from the kiwis

Marmite is really good. Never had virginity though...

If you never had it imagine like a triforce of bread spreads, jam for sugar, mayonnaise for fats, and marmite virginity for salt slavery.

Kangaroo-kabobs, kangaroo creole, kangaroo gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There’s pineapple kangaroo, lemon kangaroo, coconut kangaroo, pepper kangaroo, kangaroo soup, kangaroo stew, kangaroo salad, kangaroo and potatoes, kangaroo burger, kangaroo sandwich. That, that’s about it.

Changing snack packs to halal snack packs was the most cringe attempt by the Australian left to say look immigration is good it brings food.

While ignoring that most kebab stores are run by Lebanese Christians who fled from murderous Muslims in their home country. Outside their enclaves like bankstown it's very rare to actually find a Muslim owned kebab store

Nonsense, there are loads of turks selling kebabs.

viet dog rolls

>>

If it were actually Parmys, it would be spelt Parmies.
Parma is Sydney and Melbourne, at least the parts I've lived in which include both povo and posh parts.

For a second I was trying to work out what kek meant in Vietnamese, I know banh mi ga, banh mi bo, banh mi thit...dog is cho in Vietnamese, banh mi thit cho would be a dog meat roll.

But yes, Banh mi are excellent.
Used to have a long ride to work and stop off in Richmond to get a roll for breakfast most days. Unless I felt like hitting up a sandwich shop for a bacon&egg roll.

There's barely any Turks in Australia
They're completely outnumbered by Iranians and how many Iranian run restaurants you know?
>>
>>22145858
>They're completely outnumbered by Iranians and how many Iranian run restaurants you know?
None but I know half a dozen turkish restaurants and half of those sold kebabs at the front.
Maybe the Syrian christians sold halal because half their customers would be arabs, I don't know.
>>
>>22144416

>halal snack pack / AB
Yeah, let's all go pay $20 for a carton of chips that's had two slivers of kebab meat and some garlic sauce dumped on top
You almost have to admire the turks, they clearly understand that we're a nation of retards if there's a market for this garbage
>>
>>22142855
I never thought about that. It's actually pretty sad their national dish is fish and chips lol
They should eat like snakes or ostriches or something
>>

Don't they eat Kangaroo balls?
>>

Soon it will be replaced by dosa. I went back to my old teenage stomping grounds and every fish and chip shop and pizza place had shut down and been replaced by Indian and Nepalese joints.
>>
>>22146957
Last time I went to the football there were lots of Indians and Asians eating meat pies. Most of them were Carlton supporters.

If it makes you feel better, the cheapest, most popular fish is Flake which is actually a shark.

They eat similar things to the English like mostly meat pies, yet England has infinitely more regional dishes than Australia. Australia's nothing more than a territory and economic zone of the crown. They're are somewhat cucked as a nationality; they never ended up developing a particularly unique national, cultural identity.

Only Tasmania is the home of a scallop pie. Which sounds dope.

There's a distinct difference between English pies and ANZ pies.
For one thing, ANZ pies have a lot more gravy and are frequently made with mince rather than chunks, though the latter exists also.

Don’t they eat a bunch of meat pies and sometimes those meat pies have a bunch of opossum in there? I’ve heard of eating opossum in the states but not in little tiny pies like that and not by people with teeth.
You may not like it, but that is absolutely culture.
