So my retarded ass finally learned most tinned fish is precooked and ready to eat. Growing up i always saw ole' pep-pep put his pilchards in the saucepan before eating so assumed they needed cooking. After trying a few random tins on toast or as additions to stuff, incidentally discovering mackerel in a curry pot noodle is absolute god tier, i have exhausted my local aldi and asda and need more wider recommendations. So far from god tier to shit tier i would say:>Mackerel>Chilli Mackerel>Tuna>Garlic Tuna>Hot Smoked Mackerel>Cod>Hake>Pollock>Herrings>Anchovies preserved in spanish oil>Regular Anchovies preserved in salt>SardinesKind of a bummer ole grandad only ever ate sardines. They seem the most shit tier of fish thus far, but i have yet to try stuff like sprat or eels since it was sold out. What are some tinned delicious little bastards you recommend?
try smoked garloid

>>22145253Yes
king oscar mackerel in thai sweet sauce over rice is amazing
>>22145253No i tried it based on someones recommendation and its amazing. The hot broth heats up the mackerel and makes it tender without making it fall apart and depending on which pod noodle it absorbs the flavor. Mostly the Curry and Chicken and Mushroom ones. Its now the default way i eat a pot noodle it makes it so much better.
>>22145265>Tinned Fish in RamenWhy the fuck have i never considered this. A Cup Noodle Seafood Ramen with some Sardines or Cockles would probably be great.
>>22145268You lack imagination, my friend.

Tinned scallops are pretty good if you can get over the weird organs they didn't trim
I tried king oscar meditation mackerel, just had it cold over hot rice and mixed up. Pretty fucking incredible. My big issue with fish is that it doesn't seem to go with any veggies to me, like it just doesn't mix well taste wise. I can only eat fish with carbohydrates
>>22145444meditation? Mediterranean*
You shouldn't spend more than $2 for tinned fish, that's just my opinion
>>22145453maybe tinned mackerel really calms him down
>>22144489>They seem the most shit tier of fish thus farHigh Omega 3s and low mercury levels.
>>22144489Tinned squid in ink on top of pasta with some lemon is great. Someone else recommended it with saffron rice as well, but since then i haven’t found the squid in any of my grocery stores.>:(
>>22145444>My big issue with fish is that it doesn't seem to go with any veggies to meIf you’re having it with rice I find kimchi works really well for easy compatible veg. Aside from that I feel you on a lot of the rest of the vegetables
Canned smoked oysters in a bowl dash of worstorchire sauce and a big spoon of sour cream. Eat with crackers of your choice. I like pita or bagel chips. My go to snack for sportsball
>>22145444>My big issue with fish is that it doesn't seem to go with any veggies to me Tomato sauce, root vegetables and onions work decently well. Also bland Asian stuff like bamboo shoots or bean sprouts etc. If it has chlorophyll, it won't work.
>>22145444Mackerel goes amazing with curry, tomato sauce or chicken broth.
>>22145275you generally lose it as you get older as you're punished for using it
>>22145852i didnt need to be reminded of thathuge bummer, man
>>22145859sorry frenworry not, you can get it back, it just takes practicekinda like working out
