>I've not only grown accustomed but actually prefer the highly concentrated taste of artificial sweeteners to sugarIs there something wrong with me?
>>22146010i would absolutely say so, but obviously individual tastes are not objectivesugar free sodas dont taste right to me at all
>>22146010i guess you've come to associate that specific profile of sweetener with the anticipation and pleasure of your beverages. whereas sugar is just sugar and makes things taste and feel broadly sweet, a mild syrup, found anywhere. i can see why you'd associate the distinct profile with a more refined and pleasurable beverage
>>22146058>with the anticipation and pleasure of your beveragesNo, I put that stuff in my drinks at home.
This is a sign of mental illness. There is no discernible difference
>>22146092>This is a sign of mental illness. There is no discernible differenceOP here, I will gladly concede to being an unironic aspie. This is probably the reason I can easily tell Coca-Cola from Pepsi.
>>22146098I would hope most people can tell coca cola from pepsi and if you can't you have some kind of taste deficiency
>>22146110I myself would hope most people can tell sugar from something like sucralose or alulose.
>>22146010You have to be careful with coolant leaks if you have pets because they'll lick up puddles of it due to its sweetness.
>>22146010
>>22146084>No, I put that stuff in my drinks at home.Oh, so you don't enjoy those ones? because they're at home?
>>22146098>>22146110Boomers had a whole meme about how if a restaurant had Pepsi instead of Coke they would actually retract their order for a cola. Beyond that, the preference for Coke over Pepsi is so great that Pepsi actually bought into fast food businesses just so they could force them to offer Pepsi instead of Coke. So yeah the general population can taste the difference between them. If anything I would guess it would be autistic retards who can't tell the difference and just want sugar water in any form.>>22146121I can definitely taste the difference and it ruins the beverage for me if it has artificial sweetener in it. Aspartame is the biggest offender and the general public can definitely taste it. Sucralose tastes off but is tolerable, the general public seems to have accepted it since all new energy drinks have it instead of traditional sweeteners.
>>22146179Not OP, I actually prefer pepsi.
>>22147383This is why everyone hates millennials.
>>22147405And your massive overreaction is why everyone hates zoomers
>>22147414Liberals get so pissy over any little joke.
>>22146174> cucked by a beee:3
>>22147527>pol brainrot
>>22146010It could be worse OP. I think I accidentally fucked my insides up beyond belief. I can't eat healthy without my stomach ripping itself apart. Vegetables give me horrible diarrhea, same with fruits. I can eat McDonald's and nuggies just fine though, I feel literally nothing after eating half a bag of Doritos but a small salad makes me want to die. I tried going to a doctor but he basically just looked at me like "yeah okay fatso" and sent me on my way with a 50$ bill. Never doing that again. I tried fasting but it makes me super lightheaded and nauseous, not sure what to really do at this point so I guess I'm just going to keep eating takeout every night.Yes I am American
>>22146010Nah real sugar soda tastes too syurpy to me, diet or zero wins every time. But if you are talking about any non-beverage instance of this you are out of your god damn mind.
>>22147657Could it be a fodmap thing? Maybe SIBO (small intestinal bacteria overgrowth). You could try seeing a (or another) gastroenterologist, they may not help but the can do tests for SIBO at least
