Blue moon is a regional delicacy of the Midwest, and
it’s finally broken out of Wisconsin.
Anyone had it?
Any other regional delicacies?
>>
>>22147616
what are the primary flavors? gums and powders?
>>
>>22147629
wikipedia says it uses beaver gland secretions used to mark their territory

Genuinely incorrect kek
Wikipedia only says that bitchy critics theorize that. Everybody makes it differently and that is also specified in the article. Retard.
>>
>>22147638
>everyone tries to copy original recipe
>original recipe uses beaver secretions
I honestly dont understand what you find confusing
>>
>>22147643
It says nowhere in the article at all that the original was flavored with that. You can keep insisting but it’s not in there. Go argue with the mods to change it on Wikipedia or shut your retarded ass up. The only time that word appears in the article is
>Varieties that have distinct berry or vanilla flavor notes are sometimes theorized to have been originally flavored with castoreum
This is now the second time I have provided you with this same information. Which says not shit about the original flavor. Please stop insisting that you’re an idiot. This is a thread about dessert.
If you must go on, please screenshot the part of the article you’re talking about to clear things up.
>>
>>22147648
They prob replaced it with synthetic cheap flavors but the original recipe matched the flavor of beaver.
The og recipe is a secret, you cant disprove a coca cola recipe thats a trade secret either.
So there.

Go to bed tonight thinking about how retarded you just made yourself look

embarassing

I'm phoneposting, retard.
take your schizophrenia to a worse board.

It's a hilarious cope, I've see people make that accusation on posts less than 20 seconds apart.

I don't eat ice cream. I make my own frozen banana ice cream with frozen bananas oat milk, aspartame, and whey powder
>>

Yum, toothpaste ice cream.

>>22147679
You have berry flavored tooth paste??
>>
It just tastes like fruit loops

Spotted the Europoor
>>
>>22147616
We had it in Indiana when I was a kid, though we called it "Blue Goo" because it was a sauce drizzled on vanilla ice cream or mixed into a shake rather than its own flavor.

Based flyovers sucking on beaver ass
>>
Y’all cunts were supposed to talk about other things you can’t necessarily get across the country
Not fuckin’ beaver asses
>>
>>22147638
I mean... Isn't beaver extract vanilla-esque?
>>
Regional things aren't good usually because if they were they would be ubiquitous and international like spaghetti and burgers, even if they come from a limited area like maple syrup.

me on the top right

I was expecting things like Spotted Cow etc, it’s silly to think it has to be an big to be good. Getting big just means better marketing.
>>
>>22147616
The color is really appealing, but also incredibly off-puttingly fake.
>>
Saw it for the first time in Washington state somewhat recently. Always wanted to try Superman ice cream and there it was in all but name. Pretty good, too, but I have no idea what blue moon is supposed to taste like.
>>
>>22149687
Being popular =/= good
>>
>>22149752
I wouldn’t describe blue moon as being fruity as much as fruit-loopy. Sometimes at “resorts” in the Wisconsin Dells (lmao) they have crushed fruit loops mixed in already when they scoop it. Looks pretty cool on the cone.
Best stuff always comes from local creameries, though. Especially Wisconsin if you ever end up there for some reason. Ice cream is always like that ya know. It’s a popular enough flavor in a lot of areas that it and Superman are on the menu every day.
>>
>>22149500
Shouldn't have led with beaver ass, then.
>>
>>22149671
It was *the* vanilla replacement so more than just "-esque"
>>
I enjoy it, but I prefer vanilla/cherry/blue moon superman over just blue moon. Wish I knew a good recipe for it, i'd love to try making some.
