>Have you ate*Eaten
>>22150304my mom tricked me into eating a chocolate coated ant when I was a kid. she will soon pay the price.
>>22150304I have a scorpion sucker, but i haven’t eaten itI’m not opposed to trying bugs as a crunchy snack kind of thing
>>22150304What are you getting?
>>22150562Where is this? And also the chocolate dipped cricket, and the Mexican spice worms.
>>22150304i tried a roasted cricket. The taste was fine but the texture is gross. its like eating roasted paper
>>22150304ive only eaten fried cricketsbasically they were tossed in some sunflower esque seasoningand htey basically tasted like sunflower tooall that exoskeleton just makes them texturally like chewing on cornhusk thoughSo just fibre-y sunflower seedswould not actively seek but they arent offensive to the tastes
>>22150304Looks good, kind of like seafood. Kind of like little bite-sized soft-shell terrestrial land shrimps and baby crabs.
>>22150304I've had Mexican fried chapulines before. It sounded like it would be good... crispy crickets fried up with garlic, pepper, and salt... I imagined it would just be like a crispy junk food snack. Nope. That shit was all cricket. And you're very much aware that you're chewing on bug legs, face and butt.
>>22150304No, only steamed or roasted.
>>22150304> OP here
>>22150304I've had a bunch. tarantulas are kinda nasty cause of the pus. scorpions, crickets and etc are...okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat them again but they're fine.
>>22150562>made with cricket flourthis is worse than a bag of crickets. we havent even saturated the market with bugs and theyre already trying to replace wholebug with processed bugflour
>>22150304I once was eating an empanada I bought on the street and after eating half of it I took a peek at the filling and there were a bunch of larvae inside of it, it was supposed to be a chicken empanada. this has actually happened to me in different occasions but with different types of food, but the empanada it's the one I remember the most because it happened during my birthday.
we've all æten bugs. do not trust any restaurants that prepare food in a way that makes it impossible to discern if there are bugs in your fuud
I use on salads, salmon, chicken etc. Has citrus flavor, almost lemon-pepper. Very healthy, makes you feel great
I always thought it looked so yummy when Timon and Pumba were eating grubs in Lion King
>>22150531whats the plan here anon
>>22150562>Only 5g protein for the whole bag
>>22153327how is it that he has infinite money yet still can't do anything about how his face has partially melted
>>22150304That scene in Indiana Jones where the big dude was eating beetles made them look pretty good.
We were all supposed to eat the bugs by now but Canadian mega cricket factory already went bankrupt two years ago.
>>22150304I fried grasshoppers in butter and garlic salt when camping a long time ago. They just tasted like chips and had a similar crunch. They also turn a nice red color, like lobster. Fun, but not worth the effort.
>>22150562id get 44 and just avoid licking the bugez
>>22156379It was a really dumb thing to push for, the average person is just not going to be on board with eating bugs. I actually think society should reduce its meat consumption, but way more people would be open to vegetarianism or simply reduced meat diets than eating ze bugs. And, they made it so that now if you suggest reducing the consumption of meat, people immediately think you want them to eat bugs and double down. Part of me almost wonders if THAT wasn't the real conspiracy all along and it was pushed by big beef to make people look crazy for advocating alternative diets. I know it's more likely that it was just incompetence and arrogance though.
I've tried most of what I've come across that seemed safe to eat, all of it tasted fine, though most of it wasnt as crunchy as I hoped. No idea why, but the thought of eating bugs dont really bug me.
>>22159634Ayy he's got puns>>22153374No its actually better because you wouldnt be eating the chitin and legs and guts. The flour would be the only way i would ever try cricket again. >>22150304I had chapulinas and they sucked. Tasted like eating corn husk, as another anon mentioned. Also had a scorpion lollipop, the lollipop was good but the scorpion wasnt. I will not eat bugs, i would rather go vegetarian or pescatarian
>>22150304I had a drink at Frontera Grill once that was rimmed with black ants, probably these >>22153495 as a matter of fact. It was a pretty damned good drink, and I think it should count as eating bugs.
>>22151785
>>22153642They slurped them like noodles or crunchy food, that's what you really want, actual food>>22157857I used to feel like I needed meat every meal, but I realized I feel better with a variety of nutrition, so I'm fine eating less meat if paired with something good like chickpeas or lentils, I think that's the trick really. Help people realize they can feel full eating cheaper, and healthy food. The real turn for me was when I got one of those health food bowls with fruit, yogurt, and granola, and I was surprised to feel full and satisfied.
My dad was a truck driver and brought back some cheese-flavored crickets from Nevada. Brought them to the family reunion and we ate them, not because they were good, but because it was fucking hilarious seeing them (mostly women) cringe and gag. Good times.
yeah, but only crushed like a pussy. when i still drank i liked sipping on shots of anejo tequila with orange slices rolled in chili lime chapuline powder.
I don't like eating shells or viscera.I'll eat just about anything if you can properly shell and eviscerate it. But if you aren't doing that much I'm not interested
