I make my own coffee at home from locally roasted coffee beans.

The cost to actually make a single shitty cuppa is somewhere around 10-20 cents/cup for these companies even after tariffs. I probably spend about 30 to 40 cents per cup these days on the coffee I make each morning, but I'm using two to possibly three times the amount of coffee in a single cup and drinking the fancy locally roasted beans from some family plantation in the mountains of Ethiopia that's been honey processed versus buying a giant bag of washed slave wage beans from Brazil or Colombia.

For me, it's McDonald's, the best fast food coffee. I used to work there and so did my brother. We got 35 minutes for a break, and the coffee is kept at a high temperature so compensate for it cooling down when cream is added. I take my coffee black, so it would always be too hot. I would put some ice in it to cool it down so it was safe to consume during my break. My brother knew this, and one morning, he filled the coffee all the way to the top of the cup. When he gave it to me, he said "Have fun putting ice in this one, big boy." I wasn't happy with him at the time, but it's funny to look back at.
