>>22153545It's from a time when these places were much more busy. You would wait 30 minutes to get a table and then getting a full entre could take another 30 to 45 minutes or more. Appetizers are simple foods that can be microwaved or fried so you can get them quickly to tide you over until the full meal can be made.Since places are much more geared for delivery these days it's just not as necessary. Most appetizer menus I've seen have really stopped trying or phased them out altogether.

This is in addition to entrees and desserts.Chili's is basically McDonald's. I'm familiar. So we order only entrees or only appetizers. Fun fact: I haven't sat to eat inside a Chili's since a soccer tournament in fucking 2004. I've only done To-Go since then.
