Honestly thinking about discontinuing my membership. The prices on most things aren't that great.

Scanning my own items so I don't have to stand in checkout is really the only nice feature about Sam's Club.

was the AI slop really necessary for this post?

Yet another banger of a thread brought to use by retarded frog poster

I made that in paint.

Do you drink coffee? My wife and I are BJ's members, but if Sam's was closer, we may be members there instead. The whole-bean coffee is a good price, and so are the toilet paper and paper towels. They also have decent prices on ice melt (we live in New Hampshire and this is what you put on your driveway to melt ice in the winter).
For the actual food you eat, it's almost always better to shop at Market Basket.
We went into the Costco in Nashua near all the furniture stores on a Saturday a few months ago at around 3:00 PM and it was complete chaos. We were considering becoming members there, but turned 360 degrees and walked away after what a disaster it was in there. It was so full of people that you couldn't even move a cart. The prices weren't any better than BJ's or Market Basket and the selection was basically the same thing.

>toilet paper and paper towels
Don't you have walmart?
>>
>>22154628
Yes, but the Walmart in Amherst pisses me off. Nobody speaks English and you have to wait forever in line to use the self checkout. It's not worth my time to shop there just for paper towels and toilet paper. The BJ's store brand is pretty good for both of those items as well.

It’s not slop if it’s funny, and not trying to imitate reality.

>The whole-bean coffee is a good price, and so are the toilet paper and paper towels.
Are they now? How much? Cuz I can almost guarantee I get all three cheaper at regular-ass supermarkets.
Got a 5100 sheet pack of Charmin Ultrasoft for $9.64 a few months ago, down from $31.99
We have so much toilet paper in the house now that my wife joked that she'd leave me if I bought more. Same with paper towels. I bought so many before COVID, that we still have two unopened 12pks (or 20-24? I forget how many are to a pack) in the basement. I don't remember how much they were but I know it was cheap as shit. Brawny, btw.
And we buy 2lb bags of Community chicory coffee for $10. If we switched to Chock Full O'Nuts or Maxwell House, it would be $9 for 34oz.

Cancel your membership and start couponing.
>>22154628
Walmart is overpriced for most things because they barely do sales. Combine sales with coupons and you're golden. Example, we bought four 1l bottles of Gatorade last Saturday for $1.18 ($2.59 per bottle regular price, two $2 off coupons + BOGO sale = 59¢ per pair).
Today, I got a bunch of Dorot frozen turmeric for 50¢/pk (two for $3 sale + several $1 off coupons = two for $1).
Tomorrow, I'm going first thing in the morning and grabbing three liters of extra virgin olive oil and a 50¢ bag of chips for $50.47 (oil on sale $24.99 per 3litre bottle × 3 = $74.97 + bag of chips = $75.47 - $25 off $75 of store brand stuff coupon = cheap ass oil).

It might have been mildly amusing if it was crudely hand drawn but being jeetslop takes away what little humor there is

The average person uses 1 roll per day. If you have a family of 4, that's 28 rolls a week. Over 100 a month.
>>
>>22154719
>The average person uses 1 roll per day.
That's an utterly absurd thing to claim
>>
>>22154696
The Starcucks coffee is $21.49 for two pounds right now, but there's a $4 off coupon on it. The store brand is around $20 for 40 ounces. Maxwell House pre-ground is $21.29 for 43.1 oz but there's a $2.50 off coupon for that as well. We usually get the store brand whole-bean coffee when there's a $5 off coupon on it.
I think comparing store brands to name brands for paper products is subjective, so I'm not going to engage in that discussion.
>>
>>22154719
A roll a day if you have GI issues or are 300+ lbs maybe.
>>
>>22154724
I get Starcucks coffee from a discount store for less than $2 a pound. The vacuum seal on the packages are usually damaged but its still usable.
>>
>>22154612
I go to my local Sam's and I'm the only white guy in there. Like I stepped into Pakistan. I go to the blood donation center a block away and it's only ever white people. Funny how that works
>>
>>22154724
Oh, you're buying store brand paper? Respect. I'll buy store brand paper towels but I've got a dainty princess' asshole and need my Charmin Ultrasoft. It's the main reason I won't shit anywhere but home.
>>
>>22154731
The store brand softer BJ's paper is quite nice. I grew up with blue Scott's (or worse, pink store brand) and will never go back to flat, non-cushioned paper. We don't always buy the store brand; we buy whatever brand they have a coupon for like goy cattle. I think BJ's is unique among the three major wholesale clubs because they will give out coupons for products that are only good in their store.

The only thing Sams has that I like are the refrigerated pickle slices.

I think they've become more common and popular so they raised prices. I used to save money at Costco but buying the exact same things doesn't save anything anymore yet the store seems busier than ever.

I think if you’re flexible on what you eat and good at spotting deals then it’s unnecessary to have a club membership, but there are certain things where they are consistently cheaper (frozen fruit, semi fancy cheese, fun size candy).

The one thing I really hate about Sam’s Club is if you let the membership lapse, and then renew after a few months, you’ll pay full price for the one year membership but they only extend the end date to a year from the prior end date when it expired

Sam's club as been a life safer for me. I mostly get my meat, butter, heavy cream, and booze.
Meat is super cheap there. I'll buy whole porn loins for like 20 bucks and break it down, freeze them, i also do this with bone in skin on chicken thighs. save the bones for stock.
Also, 4 pack of jacks frozen pizza is like 10 bucks. cant beat that.
Ive never been to a costco, ive heard they have better quality and more items though.
>>
>>22155262
oh also i forgot to mention, i also buy toilet paper, paper towels there.
also dishwashing scrub and brillo pads. I buy a pack and it will literally last me a couple of years for like 11 bucks.
Everything that i mentioned would be SO fucking expensive buying a small pack of at a regular grocery store, no doubt about it.
If i had a family i'm sure it would be even more beneficial. Its been good for me and im just 1 guy living alone.

They're not really competitive with Aldi as far as I've seen.
>>
>>22155341
>Aldi
With little exception, Aldi is yet another scam store. They don't take coupons, and the quality of most products have degraded far below the pricetag. Right now is one of the few times to go to Aldi since they've got pork belly for $2.99/lb, roughly fifty percent the price of any other stores.
Do not ever but Thanksgiving turkey, Easter ham, Christmas goose, New Year pork roast or St Paddy's brisket there as it's reliably more expensive than other stores every single time.
Produce is never ripe and always rots quickly.
The non-food items are cheaper on Amazon Haul, Temu, Shein and Alibaba, sometimes by ridiculously so. They were selling collapsible camp stools there, and I bought three for me, missus and kiddo, $12 each. Then I saw better ones on Amazon for just $4 so I returned all three and got my Amazon ones instead.
Lidl is superior in every way.

Wound up costing $50.55 because there were no 50¢ bags of chips. Got a 58¢ bottle of seltzer instead. Surprisingly, nobody was clamoring for EVOO. I guess no one figured out how to use the sale to their advantage that way. We're going back Thursday and using my wife's $25 off coupon on meat while stocking up on 75¢ eggs and other stuff (75th anniversary sale at ShopRite).
