I have to buy cooking oil, which is around 2,50usd so I actually have less than 5 dollars to eat two meals today. What should I cook?Rules:>can't go to the grocery store>can't eat the same thing twiceYes, I am poor.>picrel is what I eat 5 times a week
>>22155347how am I supposed to recommend anything if I don't know what you have and you can't go to the grocery store
>>22155352Fair enough.I already have in my house:>half a tomato>rice>noodles>one big potato and one small potato>two eggsI cannot go to the grocery store because I would have to pay the bus fare, which puts me 2 dollars down. I can only go to stores that are in walking distance.
>>22155347>>can't go to the grocery storewhat was the point of telling us how much money you have if you're not going to spend it? >have to buy cooking oilhow are you going to do that without going to the grocery store
>>22155353you dont need oil. buy a can of chili and some cheese, bake your potatoes and put the chili and cheese on top. tomorrow you can make scrambled eggs with leftover cheese and tomato for breakfast
>>22155443>what was the point of telling us how much money you have if you're not going to spend it?i was wondering this too lol. i think op means only using what's already available in their kitchen and what they were already going to the store for but no extra ingredients.
>>22155447This is good advice
>>22155353> rice> noodlesoh how will i possibly be able to eat for one single day
>>22155443>>22155452There are no grocery stores in my neighbourhood, instead the ''grocery store'' is divided in different small businesses like the Butcher shop, the Produce shop, the Poultry shop and such, which are usually more expensive than a normal grocery store and also have no discounts to exploit. It doesn't matter because the oil was more expensive than I expected so I am just drinking coffee for lunch.
>>22155447There are no ''chilli cans'' where I live, I could buy cheese but I am still lacking a protein. For dinner I am having fried rice (only eggs and rice).
>>22155470>no ''chilli cans'' where I livewell when is the revolution starting
>>22155483I would love having chilli cans but huuhhh, I am not sure if they exist outside of North America Anon.
>>22155347>Poor>Eating avocado For the price of 4 avocados you could buy like 10lbs of dry beans. What lead to you being so desperately poor, if you don't mind me asking?
>>22155486my deepest condolences
>>22155495Avocados are less than 1usd where I live because it's produced here. It's common for people to have avocado trees on their backyards.
>>22155502don’t take the piss
>>22155347>can't eat the same thing twiceoh fuck off you whinny little child
>>22155467for future reference re: cooking oil, lard is usually much cheaper than liquid oil. if i bought a bottle of vegetable oil here it would be close to $5, but lard is like $1.19.
>>22155547I already ate the same thing twice yesterday :p
>>22155548I am looking for it online and I find very few, it is not a common product in my country, it's mostly reserved for baking but I guess If I ask the butcher I could buy some.
>>22155563oh you poor thing. life is so hard
>>22155467>It doesn't matter because the oil was more expensive than I expected so I am just drinking coffee for lunch.: (What do you do for work?
