For me it’s these peanut butter filled pretzels. Can’t keep em in the house without overdoing every snack.
>>
Skill issues. Get your shit together lardass.

Donuts. It’s true you gotta eat em before they go stale but I wind up using that as an excuse to eat way too many over the course of a day or so
>>
>>22155704
i have a cookie recipe from my grandma thats kind of like an anzac cookie but they come out thinner and crispy/chewy, every time i make them i inhale basically the entire recipe within 2 days
>>
>>22155704
Just wait for them to go stale and undeliciouso. EZ
>>
>>22155773
Come on man, that's the worst advice ever.

In a moment of weakness I added a box of six apple fritters to the grocery list. Got an email saying they might be out.
Hoping they don't arrive. Nothing like coffee and cream with an apple fritter. I don't need that in my ever-fattening life right now.
>>
>>22155725
Post it so I can do this.
>>
>>22155773
They've been open for six weeks but are still fresh. I'm not going to leave the lid off just to foil myself though.
>>

what's an Anzac Cookie?

post the recipe, please

problem food
problem with food? feed on problems? do you?

a pretzles is a contortionist. it maneuvers yes it do, over and below, does it ever overdo.
you snack, I laugh, I laugh, I snack, every time, every snack, I snack, you laugh naught. extreme in all cases, like contorsioNISTS.

I love them so much. There’s a bakery nearby that sells really good ones for $2 each, the good and bad thing is they’re huge. Unfortunately everything else is way overpriced so I never get anything else

They did sub it out, but for 2 instead of 6 at the same fucking price. So I'm glad there are fewer to eat but I got a bad deal.
They'll be here any time and I'm going to eat one. Fuck.

1/2 cup each salted butter, brown sugar, white sugar, pastry flour
1 beaten egg
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp baking soda and baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup quick cook/instant oats
1 cup rice krispies
1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
cream butter and sugars in stand mixer or with a handheld electric mixer, add vanilla and egg, slowly add flour, once its mostly homogenous fold in the coconut and rice krispies and portion onto a parchment lined sheet pan in 1tbsp pieces, if you want them crispier squish them down with the bottom of a glass
bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes, serve with milk
great on their own, also super good for ice cream sandwiches

Anything with flavor at this point in my life.
I'm down to only buying bland foods or I will binge eat.
I wasn't always like this, but so many decades of struggle will test your willpower.

Try putting peanut butter on the peanut butter pretzels. It'll ruin your life.

They sent 4 but they’re the WORST fritters I’ve ever had. Not fresh. Not glazed.
Any other supermarket bakery could make these correctly. I just had to go trying to save money at Walmart.
>>
>>22155881
No, they have just the right amount.
I eat them with pickles. It’s perfect.
>>
>>22155859
Thanks, might make them.

At least it was only $4 but definitely sucks paying for instant garbage

They gave you two boxes of two bigger ones each. You actually got a little more at a lower price.

I just can't help myself around snack foods in general, or packaged drinks (alcoholic or otherwise). If I get bored I just pick up something to snack on or something to drink and I'll just keep doing that.
I need to make sure that all the food in my house requires some level of preparation, to put up a barrier between my meals and me.

Any gummy candy, especially if it's covered in sour sugar. I'm just fine having just one brownie or one serving of ice cream or pastry a day, but put a massive bag of sour candy in front of me and that shit will be entirely gone before the end of the day.

Yes. Peanut butter and pickle is a great sandwich. It'd be great on a pretzel bun. It's a natural combination.

I feel myself getting fatter eating those things. I haven't had one in probably 15 years but I remember them tasting like whipped fat and air and salt and sugar and 'unnaturalness'.
A lot of junk food is designed to taste good but I can still taste how cheap and bad for me it is.
That said, if I was high and I had those in the house I'd eat them up. I'm currently eating a bunch of Great Value breakfast bars. Just like giant Fig Newtons. Probably just as unhealthy as a candy bar.

This kind of thing worries me. Finding something like that and then totally just giving in to every craving and doing myself in.
I've already gained a few pounds this month by eating too many carbs and sweets. I'm trying to break the spell.
Going out and getting one cookie or doughnut or candy bar, or two, has been bad enough.
I don't want to get a whole box of something and have it around. That's total defeat. I need to hold on to my health.
>>
>>22164043
But I remember a few years ago I'd discovered these big cookies that were like glazed cakes or muffin tops. They were new. They had lemon ones and cherry ones and I think apple ones. Dense on the outside but soft in the middle. Came in packs of ten in the bakery. I don't remember what the fuck they were called but I would get them for the family and end up eating a few of them every day along with other bad stuff. That's how it works. Once you've given up you can just go wild on everything all you want and that's when rapid weight gain can occur. And in a way the fatter you get the more you don't care. Of course you hopefully have your moment of clarity and reverse course so you don't die. But it can be a while before you hit your rock bottom. Some don't and they just eat until they die of complications.
It all tastes so good though.
But things cease to be treats when you just have them all the time. If I can eat sensibly most of the time and allow myself a little reward I can keep myself in check.
I've been doing too many unearned awards lately.

paradoxically finding this has actually been a boon for me. i'm on glp-1s and they hit so hard i hadn't eaten in five days, so these are at least some form of caloric intake. normally don't even eat sweets but these were new products when i made a run to get plantain chips/tea and i was curious how you transplant the flavor of cherry pie to a cookie format. very well, evidently!

thankfully trader joe's listed these as limited/stock cycles constantly anyway so these likely won't be there for more than a month tops, and they'll go stale quickly so i can't horde them. i get the worry though, i've lost 150+ pounds and 13 sizes in the past couple of years and don't want to do anything that would cause stagnation or gain. honestly just cutting out sweets and other extraneous foods entirely has been the most help when considering temptation. you can't crave something you've basically forgotten exists. that and not being a piece of shit stoner, but the sweet siren song of NEW NOVELTY ITEMS! persists.

good luck on losing those pounds anon, you can do it when you put your mind to it. go do something fun to move your body! maybe you could use the promise of one treat to push through something you didn't want to do, or as a reprieve from a difficult day. and those cookies sound delightful, no wonder you were consooming them in large quantities. i've been lax with myself these past few years as well - you don't get to that size by exercising self-control. perhaps we can both work on our discipline. deal?
