What's wrong with a good ol' steak pie? Right, absolutely nothing, no matter what the French snobs say.

I have a bunch of pork pies, steak and kidney pies, chicken curry pies, lamb and mint pies, pastys and other random British stuff in my freezer that I bought from parkers. I eat it on special occasions. Wish I had a place around me I could go to because shipping is a killer. Guess that's the price you pay living on hundreds of acres in the country.

Also, no one likes the French. We are still boycotting them here in the US I think.

I have never seen a frozen scotch egg. Because you shouldn't freeze eggs.

Buy yourself a frozen bag of beef chunks and slow cook a stew like scouse

I would like to try a steak and ale suet pudding like picrel.
It uses suet in the pastry, and the fillings are similar to a meat pie. But it's a pudding because it's cooked in a steam bath, not baked like a pie.
We don't have anything like that here, it seems very British

I made a steak and Guinness pie, mainly following Adam Ragusea’s recipe and it turned out to be one of the best things I’ve cooked in a while. I used tallow for the pastry and diced up some sage and mixed it in the dough.

Steak puddings are quite time intensive, so they aren't made much now but you can buy them for the microwave but they're not that good.
The last time I had one home made, was my mothers in the early 1980s. If you are familiar with suet, then you know it's a bit 'claggy' which is not a bad thing but it's different to a Pie.

I only use suet now to make Dough Boys/Dumplings for stews, I don't really do deserts but the infamous British 'Spotted Dick' is a steamed suet sponge.

Scotch eggs are shite unless they're freshly fried/baked. Do not buy them, make them yourself.
