I just found out my mom's version of Vietnamese braised pork belly (thit kho) is unlike any other recipe on the internet since it's what she learned just by growing up in the country. I gave her a call and asked for her exact ingredients and then used ChatGPT to help me approximate a recipe using her ingredients, and lowkey it tastes like hers but maybe even a little better since I used a pressure cooker. I think it's good enough to sell, even
>>22156964>my mum's recipe is totally unique and delicious>so I asked ai- kill yourself
>>22156969Well the issue with a lot of home cooks anon is that they don't use exact measurements and I'm someone who wants reproduceable results every time
>>22156982Knowing how to adjust a recipe is an important life skill, anon.
>>22156964ok? so like what was the difference?
>>22156982If you want to get your mom's recipe in a way that's reproducible then practice making it with what info you have and talk with her more when it comes out different from what you remember. Write down the measurements you used and write down new recipes as you try them. chatGPT will never get you to your mom's recipe the way your mom will with repeated conversations and just straight up trial and error because all chatGPT can do is grab from existing popular recipes that are the opposite of what you want because your mom's recipe is distinctly unlike any other recipe. Your use of chatGPT will hinder you here, not help you.Work with your mom to get it how she makes it and then properly document it the way she never bothered to.
>>22156964so are you going to drop the recipe or no?
>>22156988>>22157018That's fair but I really doubt the AI is too far off from what my mom would do. After a while you begin to notice that most recipes use 1-3 tbsp of any single ingredient and there's only really one way to balance the flavors well. I'll ask my mom to make it the next time she's over and I'll observe her portions to double check, though. We also need to consider that I'm using a pressure cooker, so in a way you might consider this my take on her recipe--the evolution if you will>>22157008Sorry, can't share that. This one's my new secret family recipe
>>22156964let me guess: coconut soda, palm sugar and fish sauce
>>22157244Gook. You NEVER WON THE WAR. WE LEFT OF OUR OWN ACCORD
>>22157244It's exactly why her recipe is unlike any other, she doesn't use any of those ingredients
>>22157247i am white and i live in a red state
>>22157248
inb4 just plain ass sugar and saltmy mom did this
>>22157254Nice Poverty brah
>>22157262you seem confused
>>22156964>I used chatGPT>lowkeyYou're fucking retarded and I don't care about your recipe now.
>>22157303cute monke
What are the egg-shaped and -colored objects? Something unimaginably exotic?
>>22157314believe it or not, the egg shaped objects are eggs
>>22157320I do not. I'm sorry.
>>22157324it's okay, I believe in you
